Despite a week's postpo nement of
the County Seed Fair, 41 exhibitors
brought out 150 entries. Ten -bush-
el lots of oats sold for an average
sof $2.40 per bushel with ,$5.10 per
,bushel being paid for a tenabushel
lot of .Sihnco oats. Ten bushel lots
of barley, sold for pan average of
$1.1813 per bushel. Inquries re:
whereabouts of grass, clover and cer-
eal seeds are increasing and local
farm supplies of good seed are be -
owning exhausted. Contracts are
being let for cash crop acreages and
already some 148 growers have con-
tracted to grow ,approximately 1200
acreage of auger beets. Six town-
ships in the County have already
passed the Brucellosis Control Act
By -Law andpetition forms are be-
ing circulated in three more town-
ships. Several farmers have tapped
with light runs of sap reported.
