patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-

LETS EMPLOYEES GO
Due apparently to seasonat slack-
ness in the hosiery market, the man-
agement of the ,Clinton Hosiery Mill
has been forced to let out a number
of employees. According there are a-
bout 22 employees at work, some of
them on part time, though several
Married men with families as well as
single girls have been let off. This
leaves the 'Clinton mill operating
-with about half its"usual staff.

Mr and Mrs George Ingram itiave
taken up residence on Oxford St. in
Hensall. Prior to leaving their farm
home the neighbours and friends on
Highway 4 gathered at their home
and presented them with a table and
lamp. During the evening cards were
played and luneh served. The affair
was arranged 'by 'Mr and Mrs Hugh
Love.

The March meeting was held .
the Chamber room, on Monday 8th
at 1.30 p.m. at which time the foll-
owing business was transacted: That
