'To Vote On Electricity
Grand Bend ratepayers will vote
April 5th on WO questions relating'
to hydro. They are being asked to
approve a by-law providing for the
borrowing of $85,000 upon debent-
ures to purchase the electric distrib-
uting systema from the H.E.P•C. of
Ontario. Repayment of. debentures
will amount to $6,820.62. 'Ratepay-
ers will also .be ,asked to- vote on the
'.question: "Are.you in' favor of se-
curing a supply of eleetrie power or
°energy from the Hydro -Electric Pow-
er Commission of Ontario?

People's Union acted as hosts to Car-
mel Church, Hensall; Kippen, and
Zurich Lutheran Y.P.U., Sunday eve.

owing the evening service and saw a
film "The King's Man," which por-
trayed the story of Frederico Massili,
native worker amongst the people of
Angola, Africa. A quartette com-
posed of the Misses Fay and June
Ross, Marilyn Eyre and Mary Lou
McLellan .sang two selections. Ken
Tuckey, president of the 'Hensall So-
ciety' acted as chairman for the me -
father Mr. Ed Dickie of Wind -throat; eting.
Word has been received of the
sudden passing ,of Rev. Albert Hin-
ton, of Birchton,, Que.; former • min-
ister of St, Andrew's United church
Klippen and Hillsgreen United church
for several years.. Mr. Hinton was
inducted at Kippen Sept. 20, 1945.
He left for his new charge sn .lily
1952. During his ministry at Kipper
he suffered a knee injury in a fall
which confined him to Victoria Hos-

interesting and helpful programmes
for its anetnlbers. The attendance
during the present season has been
good. Recently they have had; progra-
mmes on such subjects as "Alcohol
and Youth"; David Livingstone",and
"Witnessing for Christ," These were
taken by Miss Marjorie Dowson, Miss
Marjorie Webster and 'Miss. June
