OBITUARY Mrs. Gordon Pearson Mrs. Gordon Pearson 45, of R.R. 2, Dashwood who died in Alexander ••Hospikal, Goderi!ch, Tuesday ,17eb. 9, was the former Sylvia Seguss of Ashfield Township. She was a memb- er of Clinton Baptist church. Sury iving besides her husband are one daughter, Slvirley,.'a teacher at Clin• ton; one 'brother in Halifax. and two sisters:. Ardent Sport 'Fan Passes Tragedy struck this peaceiui vil- lage of .Dashwood on Saturday after- noon :in a two -car crash which re- sulted in the death of Milton Ratz, of Shipka in his 61st year, at the South. Huron .Hospital, Sunday, Feb. 14th. • An ardent sports fan, he and his family had followed the O.B.A- champion ball team from Dashwood to all the places they played tnclnd- ing Teeswater and Milton, urgin• them on to victory. Mr. Ratz operated the chopping mill at •Shipka. He was a member of S;hipkti United Church. Survi'nhg are his wife, the former Acta Fassol!i one son Jack, two sisters, Mrs. Mat- hew Sweitzer, Grand Bend, ai,""d Mrs. Crawford McPherson, Parkhill, and two `brothers, Roy and William, of Stephen Township. . Bur- sal /was in Crediton cemetery. Late Mrs. E. Witzel Mrs, Elizabeth Witzel, 90, a life- lon,g resident of Dashwood, died on February 13th at the home of her son Sam. in Toronto. She was one of the oldest members of the Dashwood Evangelical Church. Surviving are 2 sons, J. M. 'Witzel of California and S. W. Witzel, Toronto; four daugh- ters, Mrs. Burns, Pt. Huron ; Mrs. A. White, Detroit; Mrs. J. Walsh, Sask- atoon; three sisters and two brothers Her maiden name was Elizabeth Sie- bert. The body rested at the Hoffman funeral horse till Tuesday noon when it was transferred to the Evangelical UB Ch'trch for service at 2 p.nt. by the Rev. W. Krotz.
