caller in town one day last weer.
The many friends of Mr.,. J. P Rau
are pleased to learn (hal- she is able
to be up .and around again after her
rather lengthy confinement to her bed

was a business caller in town on
Tuesday.
i1Ir. Wm. Witmer and .brother vis-
ited their mother at the London
Hospital on Sunday.
Mr and Mrs Roy Erb and child of
Kitchener spent the week -end at the
home of the former's parents, Mr,
and Mrs, Edmund Erb, Bronson line.
Mr and Mrs Musselman and dau-
ghter of Waterloo spent the week -end
at the home of the former's sister,
Mr and Mrs Peter Gingerich, Bronson
Line,Stanley.
Mr and Mrs Bos'hart of St. Jacobs,
visited with the Tatter's sisters, Mrs.
Mary Manson, Hers. Ed. Erb, Mrs.
Nancy Koehler and Mrs. Sol. Ging-
erich over the week -end. A most
lovely time was enjoyed.
Was Guest Speaker
Rev. E. W. Heimlich was guest
speaker at the Young People's League
of the United 'church, Hensall, on
Sunday evening, Feb. 7th. An in-
spiring anessage was delivered. A
grand meeting was enjoyed in every
way.
Attending Minister's Institute
Rev. H. E. Roppel is attending the
Minister's Institute of the Canada
Conference, Evangelical U. B. Church
in Waterloo, Ont., Tuesday, Wednes-
day

day and Thursday of this 'week.Bishop
J. S. 'Stamm, D.D., LL.D., 'S.T.D., of
Harrisburg, Pa., and the Rev. Prof-
fessor Wilbur C. Harr, Ph.D., D.D.,
Evangelical Theological 'Seminary,
Naperville, Ills., will be ,the guest
speakers. The purpose of the Inst-
itute is to discuss present trends and
moral .problems facing the Christian
churches of today.
Youth Fellowship
Mr and Mrs Leonard Erb enter-
tained and treated the Youth Fellow-
ship of the Evangelical Church to a
sleigh riding party last Thursday
evening. ;Marylin, the teamster, had
the team decked out with about 25
seigh ,belts. Raring to go, they gave
the party a thrilling time until a few
fingers and toes started to pinch from
the frost. When they returned to
the home where lunch was served in
abundance, and it had to be, as the
fresh air stimulated the appetites of
those in the party to the extent that
another sleigh ride after eating would
possibly- have been disastrous for the
team .of horses.
