Miss Kathleen Hess, Reg, Zqurse, of London, visited with her parents, Mr and Mrs. Albert Hess. Mr. Nicholas Deichert who was a visitor at the Yungblut homes, has retuned to his home in Detroit. Mrs. Musselman of Waterloo, is spending Some time visiting at the home of her daughter, Mr and Mrs. Peter Gingerich of Blake and with other relatives. Mrs, Edith Lewis, ldiss Pearl Roff, of Stratford; Mr and Mrs. •Samuel Cudmore of Kippen, were visitors with Mr and Mrs. 'Chris Heist of town the past week. Mr. Alvin Bossenberry, manager of the Aldon Theatre, Grand Bend, was in town On business on Tuesday. Bossenberry's father, Mr. Bruce Bossenberry is spending the winter in California. Making the trip by motor and is being accompanied by friends from Toledo, Ohio. Mrs. Thos. Meyers returned home on Saturday after- visiting at the hone of her daughter Mr and fi1,Irs. L. Coxoa and daughter Sue Ann, spent several days last week at Michigan State College, East Lansing, Mich,, where Dr. Co -on attended the annual post graduate Conference for Veterinar- ians. ADMINISTERED SPECIAL BLESSINGS On Sunday afternoon, January .10, under the auspices of the Catholic Women's League, a lovely ceremony was performed at St. Peter's R. C. Church, St. Joseph, when .Monsignor Bourdeau reconsecrated the families present to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary and then gave a 'special blessing to the little babies and -children vp te eleven years. After Benediction, the children were invited over to the hall.. There Miss Patsy Denornme, beautifully portraying an Angel of the Lord in flowing pink gown, huge feathery wings and golden 1-alo, presided over a long table on which stood a statue of the Infant Jezus, flanked by bowies of pink azalca:. and surround- ed by hags of goodies. As each. child came up' to the table the Angel presented him with one of tne bags in which a blessed medal was an • ad- ded gift. It was a striking and din- press-ive way of showing the children that all we possess in this life is given to us Iby God through the bands of His Angels and Saints. Died In Michigan There paSsed away recently :at Marlette, Mich, Orval Stephenson 59, after a lengthy illness. Born inrdar- lette, the son of Win. H. Stepnenson and Jane (McClinchey) Stephenson, he lived on the :farm with his par- ents for some time, enlisted in W. 'War I, .and on return followed the plumbing business for 20 years. In 19215 he 'was married to Marjorie Davey a minister's daughter. Besides his wife he is survived by four dau- ghters. Orval had many relatives and friends in Stanley and vicinity. He, his wife and daughters were out- standing singers and gave freely of their services. His clear tenor voice will long be remembered The funeral was held in the Methodist church, Marlette. A goodly number from the district attended.
