MARRIED 50 YEARS
The air was crisp and cold
and there was no snow on the
ground on November 24, 1909,
when Solomon Gingerich, RR 3,
Zurich, hitched his horse to the
buggy to take Emma Kennel,
of Blake, to the home of Rev.
Richard Hobbs in Exeter, to be
united in the holy bonds of
matrimony. After the ceremony
they left by train for Niagara
Falls and Buffalo for their wed-
ding trip.
Their home was blessed with
six sons and seven daughters,
11 still living today. They are:
Elda, Mrs. Elton Bender;
Gladys, Mrs. Stanley Sander;
Doreen, Mrs. Earl Oesch; Della
Mae, Mrs. Kenneth Gasoho;
Dorothy, Mrs, Leonard Bow-
man; and Helen, Mrs. Keith
Gingerich, all of this community,
and the five sons, Earl, Lorne.

Whene'er we meet, you always say,
What's the news?
Pray, what's the order of the day?
What's the news?
Oh, 1 have got good news to tell,
,My Saviour hath done all things "
well! ./
That's the news:
The Lamb was slain on Calvary,
That's the news!
To set a world of sinners free,
That's the news!
For us He bowed His sacred head,
For us His precious Blood was shed,
And now He's risen from the dead,
That's the news:
