Following an evening of reminising, dancing and singing, lunch was served by the hostess. Mr, and Mrs. Aubin spent two weeks in. this vicinity visiting with relatives. The groom is the son of Mr. Peter Deichert, and the late Mrs. Deichert, (Zurich) . Rev. S. Dav- ison Brucefield United Church officiated at the double ring cere- mony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a floor length white satin gown with full skirt featuring a sweetheart neck- line trimmed all around the neck with re -embroidered lace and a panel of re -embroidered lace to the hemline down the front of the gown and long lily -point sleeves. Miss Virginia Deichert, Water- loo, sister of the groom was maid of honour in a street -length dress of aqua brocaded satin styled with a portrait neckline coming to a bow in front and featuring a fit- ted bodice going into a full skirt with a dropped waistline. She wore a matching headdress of mo- hair entwined with pearls and rhinestones ana carried a cascade of pink carnations. Robert Caldwell, Brucefield, brother of bride was gr000msman. Mrs, Lavern Scott, Seaforth, cous- in of the bride played the tradit- ional wedding music. Reception was held at Arm- strong's Restaurant, Exeter. For travelling to Ottawa and eastern points the bride donned a royal blue imported pure wool suit with fine check tweed, beige and brown accessories and a cor- sage of tawny gold roses. They will reside in Clinton. The bride is a graduate of Vic- toria Hospital, London. Prior to her marriage, the bride was feted on several occasions. A shower was held in her honour at her apartment in London, when some of her class graduates pres- ented her with an array of beaut- iful gifts. She was entertained at a bar- beque by the staff of Third Centre, Victoria Hospital, and was pres- ented with a lovely gift. On September 28, the ladies of the neighbourhood held a shower in the basement of Brucefield Un- ited Church. She received many wonderful gifts. CLEARANCEr. Mrs. Ed. Little entertained with colored slides taken by her husband while enroute delivering General Coach trailers to different parts of Can- ada, the east and west coasts, the great north, St. Lawrence Seaway Birthday Party Canadian National Institute for the Blind, and Tele Milk Ship Fund, At the November meeting it is hoped to have Mr. H. A. Souer- butt, Clarkson, an imported of Bretly Art Pottery, present to speak. Hensall Kinetics and points north. Mrs. Robert Simpson comment- ed on the motto "Agriculture is the lifeline of the Nation," and _members answered the roll call by "Naming something that money cannot buy," health and happiness predominating. Mrs. Harry Faber read a poem on "Thanksgiving," composed by Miss Arline Bowen, patient at Parkwood Hosiptal, London, an in- valid for 25 years, who writes for shut-ins. Donations were voted for the OBITUARY Miss E. C. Pfaff A well-known resident of this district, Elma Catherine Pfaff, passed away suddenly at her resi- dence on. the Blind Line, on Wed- nesday, October 14, 1959, in her 73rd year. Miss Pfaff, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Pfaff, was born in Hay Township, on August 12, 1887. Surviving are one brother, Alfred, Blind Line, and one sister, Mrs. Violet Sch- walm, Hensall. The deceased has been a mem- ber of the Ladies Aid of the Luth- eran Church in Zurich for many years. The body rested at the West- lake funeral home until Friday, October 16, when removal was made to ,St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Zurich, where a public service was held at 2 p.m. Inter- ment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery, on the Goshen Line. Rev. W. Paul Fischer officiated. Pallbearers were, Harold Han- sen, Ray Schwalm, Gordon Sch- walm, Lee Schwalm, Robert Mc- Kenzie and Jack McFarlane. WE SPECIAIUIE (By our Hensall correspondent) Mrs. George Beer was hostess at her home last Tuesday evening for the third birthday party ofl the Hensall Kineties, with 100 percent attendance. A short bus- iness session was held, when plans were finalized for the rummage sale to be held in the Town Hall, on Saturday, October 24. Past president Mrs, Jack Drys- dale presented the present presi- dent, Mrs. William Mickle, with a small token on behalf of the Kin- ettes, for her work with Deputy Governor Bill Mickle last year. The raffle brought by Mrs. Har- old Knight, was won by Mrs. Jim Clark. Guests for the evening were Mrs. John Baker and Mrs. Tom Munroe. A social hour of progressive euchre was enjoyed and a lunch- eon served. Winner of cards were Mrs. Robert Reaburn and Mrs. Frank Ellwood; lone hands, Mrs. Jim Clark.
