thony Laporte and son.
Trip West
Mr. and Mrs. Avila Ducharme,
of the Bluewater south, and Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Fahner, of Port
Blake, left on Saturday morning
for a three-week visit in Saskat-
chewan. Mr. Fahner is a native
of that province, and will enjoy
himself visiting old friends and
relatives. Mrs. Ducharme is also
a native of Pontiex, Saskatche-
wan, where her parents still live
with other members of the fam-
ily. She has not visited her home
for the past 11 years, and no
doubt will find many changes with
the family, and with her aging
parents. We hope the Fanners
and the Ducharmes will have a
very pleasant voyage, and will
bring back many sweet memories.
May they have a safe return trip
to their homes.

Enjoy Party
On Saturday evening last
ave
enjoyable party was held
Ducharme's Beach, in the new
cottage of Isadore Ducharme. A
large number of friends gathered
for the evening to chit-chat and
renew many past incidents. It was
in the wee Sunday morning hours
when the party broke up. Thank-
ing Andrew Ducharme who had
sponsored it to be such a success.
As is usual at such parties, re-
freshments and lunch was served
to make it an enjoyable evening.
Church Campaign
The Roman Catholic campaign
for the Diocese of London took
place on Sunday afternoon last,
the purpose to help the needy
parishes to enlarge and rebuild,
and for the founding of new par-
ishes. In the past the movement
has received much help which
shows what can be accomplished
when efforts are made and all,
give according to their means, be
it large or small, let it be given
with a Christian spirit and from
that offering you can expect to
receive a just reward.
