Mrs. Caroline
Catherine Price
One of the oldest residents of
this district for many years, Car-
oline Catherine Price passed away
in St. Marys Hospital, London, on
Sunday, October 4, 1959, in her
98th year. She was the widow of
the late William Price.
Mrs. Price, a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Otto, was
born in Hay Township, on May
10, 1862, She was a charter mem-
ber of the ladies Aid of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church. Zurich.
Surviving are one son, Andrew
Price, Westminster Hospital, Lon-
don; and two daughters, Mrs.
Minnie Surerus, Detroit, and Mrs.
Emmerson (Marie) Irwin, London.
There are also 14 grandchildren,
18 great grandchildren, and two
great great grandchildren. Two
sons and two daughters predeceas-
ed her.
The body is resting at the West-
lake funeral home, Zurich, until
Wednesday noon, when it will be
moved to St. Peter's. Lutheran
Church, Zurich, where a public
funeral service will be held at

Wild
Requiem High Mass was sung
in St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, St. Joseph, on Saturday
morning, by the Rev. Father I. 3,
Poisson, for Mrs. Valentine Wild,
the former Bridget Agnes O'Sul-
livan.
Mrs, Wild passed away in Scott
Memorial Hospital, Seaforth, on
Wednesday, September 30, in her
86th year. Born in St. Columban,
she lived her entire married life
in Stanley Towship, Her husband
predeceased her 30 years ago.
The deceased was a member of
the Catholic Women's League of
St. Peter's R. C. Church.
Surviving are three sons: Jo-
seph, Clinton; Louis and John,
both of Stanley Township; one
daughter, Veronica, Mrs. Oscar
Priestap, Clinton. Another dau-
ghter, Mary, Mrs. Anthony Etue,
predeceased her 18 years ago.
Interment was made in St.
Peter's R.C. Cemetery. Westlake
funeral home, Zurich, was in
charge of arrangements.
2.30 p.m. Interment will be made
in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery,

McClinchey Wedding
Varna United Church was the
scene on Saturday afternoon, Sep-
tember 26, for the wedding of
Joan Elizabeth Ann McClinchey
and Donald Lawrence Bell, Bay-
field. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McClin-
chey, Varna, and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bell,
Bayfield. The Rev, T. 3, Pitt of-
ficiated.
The bride was lovely in floor-
leng't.h white silk organza over
satin, styled with small V neck-
line front and back, trimmed with
brocaded lace. The fitted bodice
had a large bow at the back fal-
ling into a small chaple train. Her
fingertip veil was held by a
crown of pearls and sequins. She
carried red roses and lily -of -the -
valley on a white bible and
streamers of rose -buds.
Miss Joyce Bell, Bayfield, was
maid of honour in copper silk or-
ganza over taffeta. Miss Mar-
ilyn Steckle, Bayfield, and Miss
Lola Chuter, Varna were brides-
maids in matching beige dresses
of silk organza overe taffeta. Miss
Bell carried a cascade of bronze
ntiac!
