er, Mike Ullerick, London, were
weekend visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Len Wagner and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Letts, Lon-
don, spent Sunday in Zurich with
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Kalbfleisch.
Ronald Klopp has resumed his
studies at Western University in
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Johnston en-
joyed a few days last week on a
motor trip to northern parts of
Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kipfer and
daughters, Tavistock, were Sun-
day visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Jake Gingerich,
Percy Weido, Kitchener, is sp-
ending a few days with friends
and relatives in this district.
Mrs. Tille Tetreau visited last
week with her son, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry McAdams, at London.
Miss Marion Yungblut, London
Teachers College, spent the week-
end at the home of her parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Yungblut.
Mrs. Tillie Tetreau attended the
funeral of a brother-in-law, Mr.
Dave McAdam, in London on Fri-
day.
Louis Prang left on Sunday for
Whittemore, Mich., where he will
spend some time with his daugh-
ter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur Aulerich.
Mr. and Mrs. William Mero Jr.
and Jimmy, London, were Sunday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Mero, in Zurich.
Miss Stella Rose, London, was
a weekend visitor with her moth-
er, Mrs. L. Rose.
Kenneth Weido, Ontario Col-
lege of Education, Toronto, and
Ruth Weido, London Teachers'
College, were weekend visitors at
the home of their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Weido.
Mrs. Arthur Risk and family,
Allen Park, Mich., are spending
a few days at the home of the
former's sister, Mrs. Earl Yung-
blut.
John Gellman, who has been a
patient in the hospital in London
for some time, has returned home
and is spending some time at the
home of his daughter and son-in-

Miss Donna Merner and Mr,
and Mrs. William Merner and
family, London, spent the week-
end with relatives in Zurich, also
attending the Zurich Fall Fair on
Monday.
Weekend visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Mose Erb at their cottage
were: Mr. and Mrs. Alf Mellet
and Miss Bertha Singlet', all of
London.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Krueger
and family, accompanied by his
mother, Mrs. Myrtle Krueger, and
his aunt, Mrs. Laura Ings, Varna,
visited at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. E. B. Horner this past Sun-
day. Mr. Krueger is on the teach-
ing staff of Waterloo College.
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. William Thiel on the occa-
sion of their 50th wedding anni-
versary were: Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Weseloh, Tecumseh; Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Gettus, Adrean, Mich.; Mr.
and Mrs. Arthur Meidinger, Detroit
Mrs. Roy Howard, Mr. and Mrs.

FISHING TRIP
Edwin Gascho, Earl Yungblut;
Clare Geiger, Art Hoist, and Ar-
thur Risk, Allen Park, Mich., are
enjoying a few days on a fishing
trip to the Key River district.
HOME FROM FISHING
Stanley Smith and Neil Walker
have returned home from a fishing
trip in the Gowgama district,
north of Shinningtree, returning
home by way of the French Riv-
er and Key River. They also visit-
ed with Mr. and Mrs. Jones Ke-
woguedo at Naiscoot River.
GONE HUNTING
Herb Mousseau and Joe Minder -
lien left on Sunday for a hunting
trip to the far north part of the
country, where they have their
sights set on moose.

charge of the Day of Prayer Ser-
vice, preparatory to World Wide
Communion Sunday. Mrs. A. M.
Amacher acted as pianist. Ladies
taking part reading Scripture por-
tions and leading in prayer were

Mr. and Mrs. William Thiel,
Zurich, celebrated their 50th
Wedding Anniversary on Sun-
day, and a large number of
friends, relatives and neighbours
called on them during the day
to extend their congratulations.
They were married in St. Pet-
er's Lutheran Church, Zurich,
on Tuesday, September 28, 1909,
by the Rev. C. C. J. Maass.

the groom was the eldest son
of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Thiel.
Attending the bride at the
wedding was her sister, Alvada
Weseloh, and Elmore Thiel was
groomsman for his brother. The
wedding march was played by
Miss Ida Sippel.
For a number of years Mr.
and Mrs. Thiel farmed on the
Bronson Line, before moving to
Zurich. They have three daugh-
ters, Mrs. Earl Heywood, Wing -
ham; Mrs. Norman Fleischauer,
Zurich; Mrs. Ray Fisher, Zu-
rich; and one son, Edward, Lon-
don. There are also ten grand-
children and two great grand-
children. Both Mr. and Mrs.
Thiel are in the best of health.
