Mr. .and Mrs. Michael Masse and family spent the weekend. with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bedard, on this high- way. Miss Laetitia Dueharme, who has spent the past two weks vac- ationing with her father and other members of the family, will re- turn to London to resume her work at Brescia Hall. Master Ronald Ducharme, of the Bluewater south, spent the weekend with his grandparents. All Is Quiet Today, when looking in a west- erly direction towards the sum- mer resorts, all is dark where during the past three months you could see bright flickering lights from dusk to dawn the following morning. It has been ideal for farmers, for growth, maturing and storing away their harvest, and besides giving them a profitable return for their labour. For the resort- ers along the lake or other cen- tres in their cottages or out, they enjoyed themselves in the beau- tiful sunshine. For those who lov- ed the calm water of the lake they too enjoyed their vacation, and the cool nights for their re- pose, while callers entered their cottage .for an evening of chat. School children of tender years were glad to make their exit from the classrooms, also others in more advanced age, they too were glad to be free to roam at large for exercise and relaxation. For those who camped near the water, they enjoyed the oc- casional dip and the beach tan, perhaps that was their favorite Those campers who take their abode in summer resorts are a respectable people equal to the bestin the land. They are mind- ful of their business and will not interfere outside their limit. They are ready to share with their neighbour or those they come in contact with, their talent when needed, or their help in any way. And as their vacation goes by each year they make new -friends, all of which attracts them to re- turn, and by so doing it multi- plies the income of the business people in our neighbouring towns and villages.
