All Is Quiet
Today, when looking in a west-
erly direction towards the sum-
mer resorts, all is dark where
during the past three months you
could see bright flickering lights
from dusk to dawn the following
morning. They enjoyed themseI-
ves perhaps better under the
sparkling stars overhead and
when the sun had forsaken
it's hot summer rays for the day.

are no reasons for anyone to com-
plain, or to accuse the weather-
man of dishing out poor weather,
for if our memories are right we
have had an old time summer.
It has been ideal for farmers,
for growth, maturing and storing
away their harvest, and besides
giving them a profitable return
for their labour. For the resort-
ers along the lake or other cen-
tres in their cottages or out, they
enjoyed themselves in the beau-
tiful sunshine. For those who lov-
ed the calm water of the lake
they too enjoyed their vacation,
and the cool nights for their re-
pose, while callers entered their
cottage .for an evening of chat.
School children of tender years
were glad to make their exit from
the classrooms, also others in
more advanced age, they too were
glad to be free to roam at large
for exercise and relaxation.
For those who camped near
the water, they enjoyed the oc-
casional dip and the beach tan,
perhaps that was their favorite
Those campers who take their
abode in summer resorts are a
respectable people equal to the
bestin the land. They are mind-
ful of their business and will not
interfere outside their limit. They
are ready to share with their
neighbour or those they come in
contact with, their talent when
needed, or their help in any way.
And as their vacation goes by
each year they make new -friends,
all of which attracts them to re-
turn, and by so doing it multi-
plies the income of the business
people in our neighbouring towns
and villages. For them each visit
means new friends for them.

past time.
If older people conceived the
idea of vacationing to rest, to re-
lax, or fit them for the task that
awaits them in life, how much
more beneficial to young children
and those in their teen years.
When passing the period of their
early years they have much to
contend with, trying to enlighten
their minds and as well preparing
the necessary talent needed to
become loyal citizens to their
country and to their community.
And as we see it there has been
too Tittle of that put in practice
in the past.
