Mr. and Mrs. Chris Haist at-
tended the funeral of the late
Carl A. Class in Watford on Sat-
urday.
Mrs. Mahlon Sauder has return-
ed home from Clinton Public Hos-
pital, and is recovering from her
operation.
Miss Annette Jennings, Royal
Oak, Mich., spent a week's vaca-
tion with her friend, Miss Anne
Meidinger.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Hartman and
family, London, were Sunday vis-
itors with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mc-
Cann. in Zurich.
Mrs. Roy Knoll and children,
Port Colborne, spent a week's
vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Meyers in Zurich.
Mrs. Flora Becker, Glidden,
Iowa, and Mrs. Clara Wagner and
Helen, Kitchener, visited relativ-
es here last Sunday.

holtz, Exeter, were Sunday visit-
ors with the former's parents•. Mr.
and Mrs. Ted Mittelholtz.

attended Decoration Day services
at Clinton this past Sunday.
Mrs. Beatrice Hess, and Mr.
and Mrs. Chris Heist attended
the funeral of the late Mrs. Lloyd
Ratz in Waterloo on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Haberer and
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oxland, Deb-
bie and Peter, enjoyed a week's
vacation at a cottage at Stoco
Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Taylor and
family, London, are spending a
few holidays at the home of Mrs.
Taylor's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Datars.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mousseau,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Munn, Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Richardson, and Mr.
and Mrs. Clifford Weido spent the
past weekend at Sauble Beach.
Miss Mary Ellen McDonald,
Parkhill, and Miss Martha Meid-
inger and friend, Chatham, were
weekend visitors at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Meidinger.
Mrs. Frank Siebert and son Bil-
lie, accompanied by Dale Moore
and Michael Kendrick, all of De-
troit, spent a few days last week
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wil-
liam Siebert.
The many friends of Miss Alice
Johnson, in Kitchener, will be
happy to know that her health
is improving and she is happy to
be back in her own home, where
she has a lady from Kitchener
staying with her.
Mrs. Alice Lockie and family
are visiting in British Columbia
with the parents of Mrs. Lockie's
late husband. They flew out as
far as Calgary, leaving from To-
ronto, and motored the rest of
the distance by car.
Miss Mary Fischer, Lethbridge,
Alberta, arrived in Zurich last
Wednesday to spend a month's
vacation with her sisters, Mrs.
Charles Thiel and Mrs. Lorne Ra-
der, and also with her father, Jac-
ob Fischer, in Dashwood.
Mr. and Mrs, Don Locke and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Mac
Locke and daughter, all of Grand
Falls, Newfoundland. and Ray
Locke, Burlington, were recent
visitors with Mrs. Emma Schilbe
and Orville, on the 14th conces-
sion.

katchewan; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan

John Haberer, who has been at-
tending school at Duke University
in North Carolina, has completed
his course and is spending a few
days at the home of his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Haberer. This
Friday Mr. Haberer will be leav-
ing for Boston, Massachussetts,
where he has accepted a position.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hopple
and family, Castorland. New
York, visited Monday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Moses Erb. Over-
night guests were, Mr. Chris
Schultz, Niagara Falls and daugh-
ter, Mrs. James (Frances) C. Boy-
ce, Bell Gardens, California, a
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Moses Erb.

Haberer, bride -elect of next
month,
The guests took part in sever-
al contests. Miss Marlene Wagner
read the address and Misses Dor-
othy Wagner and Shirley Weido
presented Arlene with many love-
ly and useful gifts.
Miss Haberer expressed her sin-
cere thanks and appreciation.
Lunch was served by Mrs. Wag-
ner and Marlene.
