OLIVIA DENOM- ME. 30p All Denominations Attend Cromarty Bible School A community Summer Bible School, which was held in the Hibbert No. 6 schoolhouse, near Cromarty, was concluded on Fri- day evening, July 24, with a public program presented by the boys and girls and young people. The program which included Bible memory drills, stories, recitations, musical numbers in groups and solo, was very well attended by parents and friends. The books and hand work used during the two weeks was exhibited. Average attendance was 119; total enrolment, 132; 86 young peo- ple had perfect attendance; 110 were present eight days or more. The missionary offering, which amounted to $83.40 will be sent to missionaries in Africa, India, Brit- ish Guiana, Northern Manitoba and CARE parcels. Denominations represented were: United, Presbyterian, .Anglican, Faith • Tabernacle, Pentecostal, Dutch Reformed, A. Mennonite and Church of the Redeemer, For seven consecutive years the school has been operated by the Zurich Mennonite Church, Zurich. This year the teaching staff was entirely from the communities and churches served by the school. Those serving were: Rev. S. Kerr, pastor of Presbyterian Church in Cromarty, Mrs. T. L. Scott, Mrs. Lammond, Mrs. C. Christie, Mrs. Norris, Mrs. E. Kyle, Mrs. K. Dow, Mrs. J. Sin- clair, Mrs. H. Jones, Mrs. Alder - dice, Mrs. Workman, Mrs. Mac- Kay, Mrs. Finkbeiner and Misses June Ross, Ina Jefferson, Marlene Riley, Gladys MacKinnon, Sharon McBride, Margaret Jean Russell and Arlene Hoggarth. These work- ers represented such churches as Horner—Schade White gladiolus in Zurich Evan- gelical United Brethren Church on Saturday afternoon, made a lovely background for the wed- ding of Margaret Anne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schade, Zurich, to Earl Ray Horner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Horner, all of Zurich. The Rev. A. M. Amacher per- formed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Milton Oesch played the organ and accompanied Dennis Amacher who sang, "The Wed- ding Prayer" and "0 Promise Me." Given in marriage by her fath- er the bride wore a floor -length nylon organdy and chantilly lace with scalloped sabrina neckline trimmed with sequins, and styled with short sleeves, a cummer- bund effect achieved by a pleated band at the waist, flowing to a V at the back. The bodice was of chantilly lace and nylon or- gandy, and the gown had a bouf- fant skirt. She carried red roses. Elaine Schade, sister of the bride was maid of honour in pink Swiss imported nylon organdy with matching picture bonnet. She carried pink roses. Brides- maids were Phyllis Schade, sis- ter of the bride and Helen Hor- ner, sister of the groom, both dressed in yellow. Connie Steeper, Parkhill, was flowergirl, in green dress and car- rying pink sweetheart roses. Steven Horner, Grand Bend, was ringbearer. Groomsman was Ross Horner, brother of the gr- oom. Ushers were Jack Schade and Wayne Horner. For the reception in the church basement, which was decorated with charming bouquets of sweet peas, the bride's mother received in twin print blue nylon sheer over taffeta with pink flowers. The groom's mother wore navy with pale blue embroidery and accessories with red rose corsage. For travelling the bride donned a beige :sheath with matching bolero, and pink and white acc- essories. Upon their return they will jive in Zurich. The bride will teach at USS 9, Hay and Stan' ley Township in the fall. The gr- oom is employed at O'Brien's Produce in Zurich. Cromarty Presbyterian, Chisel - burst, Royis, Staffa, Munroe and Kippen United, Exeter Pentecostal, Blake A. Mennonite. Rev. A. Mar- tin of Zurich Mennonite Church served as Director of School, Mrs. T. L. Scott as Director of Music, and Miss June Ross as pianist. The school which offers courses for every school grade from kin- dergarden through high school was again a decided success and plans are underway to appoint a com- mittee to plan and organize a school next year.
