Wiled Family Has 175 Persons
At Annual 'Reunion, at Exeter Park
The Willert reunion was held in
Riverview Park, Exeter, with 175
in attendance.
President elected for 1960 was
Otto Willert, Dashwood; vice-
president. William Willert, Dash-
wood; secretary - treasurer, Mrs.
Ernest Willard, Exeter; sports
convener, Adolph Keller, Dash-
wood; table convener, Mrs. Ervin
Willert, Hensall.
Results of races were:
Throwing ball. five and under,
Sandra Weiberg, Susan Telfer and
Darlene Rader; girls and boys, five
to seven years, Morley Eagleson,
Gary Eagleson and Bobby Thomp-
son; seven to nine, Jimmy Hayter,
Morley Eagleson and Helen Eagle-
son; 10 to 12, Carolyn Eagleson,
Larry Jones and Kenneth Eagle-
son: girls over 13, Gloria Hayter,
Grace Keller and Eulene Baker;

The annual I.O.O.F. and Amber
Rebekah Lodge picnic held at the
local park last Thursday evening
was one of the best, with over 125
attending. Special guests were the
bantam and juvenile baseball
teams, sponsored by the IOOF.
Sports directed by Ed. Corbett,
Ross Corbett, Jim Taylor and Per-
cy Campbell was the highlight of
the evening. Prizes for the eldest
person present went to Mrs. Edna
Corbett; youngest, Douglas Bell,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bell.
Races, boys and girls, five and
under, Jean Elizabeth Cole; girls,
eight and under, Gwen Hendrick,
Arlene Chipchase, Heather Hope;
girls under 12, Donna Richardson,
Gail Richardson, Arlene Chipchase;
boys, 12 and under, Doug Mc -

(tied) ; girls, 15 and under, Donna

Mrs. Wilmer Ferguson, Hensall,
was the lucky winner of the
beautiful bedspread made and do-
nated by Mrs. Dinsdale, Kippen,
for which tickets were sold by
members of Amber Rebekah
Lodge. The project realized over
$100.

Presentations

Presentations were the highlight
at a joint meeting of the Hensall
Kinsmen and Dinettes held at the
farm home of Jack Deitz last
Thursday night. Jack Hamill pn,
who is leaving to accept a position
in Toronto, and Clay Austin, who
has been transferred to Delhi,
were both presented with gold cuff
links. The presentations were
made by Harold Knight, the presi-
dent of the club.
A plaque was presented to Wil-
liam Mickle in recognition of his
year as Deputy -Governor. Ross
Jinks made the presentation.
Mrs. Austin and Mrs. Hamilton
were both presented with gifts
by Mrs. Jack Drysdale, president
of the Kinettes, after which a
smorgashoard luncheon was serv-
ed,

TENDERS FOR CULVERTS
The Township of Hay is calling for separate tenders
for the construction of two cement culverts. Township
to supply all cement and steel necessary. Contractor to
supply all gravel, which is to meet with the engineer's
approval.
No. 1—On Concession 2-3, at Lot 21—Size, 10`x5'x44",
using 440 bags of cement.
No. 2—On Concession 14-15 at Lot 18—Size, 16'x6'x
50', rising 780 bags of cement.
Plans may be seen at the office of the clerk. Tenders
to include separate prices for temporary bridges and to state
when work will be completed. All work to be under the
supervision of the road superintendent and engineer. Tenders
to be in the hands of the clerk by Saturday, July 18 at 6 o'clock
p.m. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
