A move to have all trucking con- tracts for the movement of hogs from yards to plant, awarded on the basis of competitive tenders gained ground Tuesday when the directors adopted a resolution to be forwarded to the Ontario As- sociation. It was explained that there was a feeling among smaller trucking concerns that they were being discriminated against. The meeting felt further consideration should be given the complaint and adopted a resolution to make pos- sible consideration on a provincial level. The meeting heard Jake Koeh- ler, of Toronto, sales manager of the Ontario organization, explain the application of deficiency pay- ments and the effect the regula- tions will have on the hog produc- ers' operations.
