Mrs. Anne Turkheim has return- ed from a pleasant trip to Greens- boro, N.C., where she visited with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carr and family. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gettus and Mr, and Mrs. Robert Gather, all of Adrean, Michigan, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam Thiel, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Fleisch- auer and daughter, Ruth Ann, spent. Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Heywood in Wingham. Mr, and Mrs. Harold Soper and family, Straffordville, were week- end visitors with friends in Zu- rich and district. Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Gibbons and family, Woodbridge, spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. S, Witmer. Mr. and Mrs. William Merner and family, London, were week- end visitors with relatives in Zu- rich. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Pfaff and family, St. Marys, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Lee Hoffman. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hartman and boys, London, were Sunday visitors with the former's mother, Mrs. T. Hartman. Mr. and Mrs. Lennis Calfas, Kitchener, were weekend visitors with relatives and friends in this district. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Green, Sebewaing, Mich., and Miss Leona Geiger, R.N., Saginaw, Mich., were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. John Gascho. Here From The West Mr. and Mrs. Truman Fischer, and family, from Calgary, Alber- ta, arrived in Zurich on Sunday night for a vacation. Mr. Fischer is a brother to Mrs. Charles Thiel and Mrs. Lorne Rader, both of Zurich. It has been some time since he has been in this part of the country. vaulmnagsmonto Zurich Woman Has 90th. Birthday. Mrs, Phoebe Weber was guest of honour at her home on Wed- nesday, June 17, when she cele- brated her 90th birthday. During the afternoon and even- ing friends, relatives and neigh- bours visited her. She received many gifts and flowers, as well as many lovely cards of congratula- tions. Mrs. Weber is still quite active, besides sewing she still works in her garden every day.
