Department of Public Works, Ottawa, May 20, 1959. 21-b ZURICH Citizens NEWS Liberal Leader To Visit Huron Riding Thursday,, May 28 John'Wintermeyer, leader of the Liberal Party in Ontario, will vis- it Huron riding on May 28. He is scheduled to arrive in the morning at Goderich, for a reception and luncheon there at ten o'clock. Arriving in Clinton about 2.30, the 42 -year-old Kitchener lawyer, expects to tour the various indust- ries of the town, as well as the hospital and the county home. A reception has been planned at the Clinton Legion Hall from 3 to 5 p.m., and the people of town and country will have an opportun- ity to meet the party leader, and the Huron riding candidate, Harry Strang, Hensall, at that time. The Huron Liberal Association president, E. Beecher Menzies has expressed the wish that as many persons as possible will take ad- vantage of this opportunity to meet Mr. Wintermeyer. 0 Sports Day Plan. Brings Pupils Here on May 29 The various schools in the Hay Township School Area will be hol- ding a Sports Day at the Zurich school this Friday, May 29, com- mencing at 1.30 p.m. A number of group games will be played, in addition to the usual individual events. Donald O'Brien, teacher at SS 12, Hay, will be in charge of the program, assisted by all the other teachers in the Area. Parents of children taking part in the Sports Day are invited to attend the program. Lutheran Ladies May Meeting The United Lutheran Church Women held their monthly meet- ing on Tuesday, May 19. The top- ic 'Growing with World Friends", was presented by Mrs. Herb Mous- seau and Mrs. Reg. Black. Each member of the ULCW is requested to donate an item to the Lutheran Student Centre at Lon- don. These gifts should be brought to the meeting next mon- th. They may vary from utensils and tin goods to furnishings or it- ems which might be useful to the Centre.
