CELEBRATES 89th BIRTHDAY One of the oldest residents of Zurich, Mrs. Mary Brenner cel- ebrated her 89th birthday at her home last Friday. Many friends and relatives called on her dur- ing the day. She was born in Zu- rich and spent all her life in the village. Her husband predeceas- ed her nine years ago, and she has five daughters and two sons. About one and a half years ago Mrs. Brenner was in a traffic accident with her son, and has been unable to walk since. "However," she says with a smile in her eye, "I think I will be able to get around again before this summer is over." Until several weeks ago she had been staying with her children, and is quite happy to be back in her own home. She is a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in.. Zurich, and for many years was a faithful member of the Ladies Aid. (Citizens News Photo) WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 1959 rtj I Cfl4411i0CTORY Zurich Mennonite Church Pastor—A.
