(Glen Greb Chairs
Youth Fellowship
Meeting Tuesday
The Evangelical Youth Fellow-
ship of Emmanuel EUB Church,
met on Tuesday, April 21, with
Glen Greb acting as chairman.
Miss Norma Geiger was the pian-
ist. Miss Phyllis Schade read a
poem on, "Mountains and Faith."
Miss Helen Grainger, accompanied
by Miss Elaine Grainger, played
an accordion solo, "Jesus is ten-
derly calling thee home."
Miss Mary Grainger presented
the topic on worship. Worship
deals with Christian living. Some-
one has defined worship as "Prac-
tising the presence of God.' Wor-
ship is a loving response made by
the soul to God."
What is the value of public
worship? Public worship draws us
together for the advance of God's
Kingdom. Young people a r e
brought together through wor-
ship. The radio is fine for shut-
ins, but not for those who could
attend public worship.
Some attend church without
worshipping. It may be easy to
go to church because of habit, or
because it is the thing to do. A
man attended church for twenty
years and said that he never heard
a sermon. He thought of profits.
Talking before the service is not
conducive to worship. There sh-
ould be silent prayer before the
service that God's blessing may
rest upon it.
People would worship better if
they lived better. Our hearts must
be open to God's guidance. Hear
the call to service now. Say with
Isaiah, "Here am I, send me."
The president, Miss Elizabeth
Finlay, had charge of the business
session. Miss Norma Geiger gave
the secretary's report, and Miss
Catharine Rader the treasurer's
report. The meeting was closed
with the Mizpah benediction.
Hensall, were Sunday visitors with

Goshen Line south, were Saturday
night visitors with their mother,
Mrs. T, Hartman, in Zurich.

God's Word and Our Response
What is My Motive in Responding to the Message of the Bible?
— Fear of Divine Retribution (punishment)
— Belief that it is
principles of the
in my own best interest to live by the
Bible.
— Respect for the One who has given us the Bible
— Or is it LOVE for the One who has given us the Bible?
Jesus said, "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him
that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come
into condemnation, but is passed from death into life."
