This much appreciated program was presented to a full capacity audience, Prior to the service the group was served a meal by the WMSA of the host church. They lodged with friends in the community ov- ernight. The chorus from this Parochial School, is on tour to various chur- ches in Penna., Ohio, Michigan, Ontario and New York. Before leaving the district on Monday, the group toured, in ed- ucational interests, the General Coach Works of Canada plant at Hensall, a large grain boat in God- erich Harbour, and the Huron County Museum, Goderich. Rev. and Mrs. A. Martin accompanied them. PAGE ELEVEN GOSHEN NORTH WMS The Woman's Missionary Soc- iety of Goshen United Church en- tertained the ladies from Egmond- ville, Varna and Kippen churches, on Thursday evening, April 16. The president, Mrs. Elmer .Hay- ter presided with Mrs. Bruce Keys at the organ. Mrs. Allan Arm- strong read the Scripture which was followed with prayer by Mrs. James Keys. Mrs. Lyle Hill, Varna, gave a very interesting reading on Moth- er's Day. During the offering, Mrs. Clare McBride played a trumpet solo. Mrs. Jean McKin- ley gave the offertory prayer. Mrs. Bruce McGregor, Egmond- ville, sang a solo. Mrs. Robert Peck, introduced the guest speaker, Miss Clara Clark, who is at present teaching school at SS 5, Stanley. Kippen's number for the pro- gram was a quartette consisting of Mrs. John Cooper, Mrs. Edgar McBride, Mrs. Harold Jones and Mrs. Verne Alderdice. The meeting closed with prayer by Mrs. T, J. Pitt. The ladies ,were invited to the basement, which was decorated in pink and green, for a delicious lunch. Mrs. Anson McKinley was lunch convener and Mrs. Kenneth Parke did the decorating. The program was in charge of Mrs. Allan. Armstrong. Mission Band Goshen Mission Band met ,on Sunday morning, under the lead- ership of Mrs. Clare McBride. Joan Elliott acted as secretary in the absence of Patricia Robinson. The 23rd Psalm was repeated in unison. The story "Lost in the Woods," was read. A poem "Mak- ing Maple Sugar," was read by Donna Peck. Five birthdays were reported for April. The meeting came to a close by singing the Mission Band hymn. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Keys, Or- illia, were visitors in the commun- ity on Sunday.
