We Welcome You God's Word and Our Response What is My Motive in Responding to the Message of the Bible? — Fear of Divine Retribution (punishment) — Belief that it is in my own best interest to live by the principles of the Bible. — Respect for the One who has given us the Bible — Or is it LOVE for the One who has given us the Bible? Jesus said, "He that heareth My Word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death into life."
