Vice-presidents are Leroy Thiel and. Stewart Deitz, while the sec- retary -treasurer will be Herb Tur- khein. The probable manager of the team this year will be Don O'Brien. Although the turnout at the meeting was not very large, those present showed plenty of enthus- iasm towards the coming season, Various plans were discussed for the successful operation of the team this year. Good news on the baseball front came to Zurich on Friday, with the arrival at the Bank of Mont- real of Danny Truskinski, who will be replacing James Wild on the staff at the bank. Hailing from Walkerton; Danny comes to Zurich highly recommended as both a baseball and hockey play- er. He will, no doubt, greatly in- crease the infield strength on the local club, as well as being able to take a term on the mound. The only big gap left to fill on the squad will be a top calibre pitcher. Already several aspir- ants to the position have contac- ted local officials and the task of finding a suitable candidate should not be too difficult. As well as the aforementioned pitching staff, two regulars on the club, Don O'- Brien and Arnie Meyer, are both well qualified to take their turn on the mound. Bill Yungblut, classy third base- man for the past number of years, will again be on deck this year, as he and his wife will soon be taking up residence at his fath- er's home in Zurich for the sum- mer.
