ACCIDENT VICTIM
LAC A. G. Lockie
Funeral services were held from
the Dinney funeral home in Exe-
ter on Friday afternoon, for LAC
Allan George Lockie, RCAF Sta-
tion Centralia, who died instantly
from a fractured skull resulting in
a fall from a moving car onto
the pavement, about a mile south
of Hensall last Tuesday night.
An autopsy was performed on
the .body last Wednesday by Dr.
J. L. Penistan, provincial pathol-
ogist, Stratford. Coroner Dr. J.
C. Goddard, Hensall, who has ord-
ered an inquest into the death,
stated following the accident that
the man suffered a broken neck.
LAC Lockie was a passenger in
a car driven by Corporal Whitney
Blackburn, Station Centralia, and
they were accompanied by a third
airman, LAC A. J. McCoy. They
were returning to the Station after
an evening of curling in Hensall.
It is believed that Lockie was the
passenger on the right hand side
of the front seat, and fell out of
the car when the door swung open.
All three men reside at Huron
Park. LAC Lockie was the hus-
band of a Zurich girl, Alice For-
rester, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Forrester.
Surviving besides his wife are
two daughters, Deborah and Nat-
alie, and his parents, who live in
Vancouver, B.C. Interment was
made in the Exeter Cemetery.

Modern Etiquette
Q. Is it proper to ask a married
man to serve as best man or usher
at a wedding?
A. Certainly. Be sure, however,
to include hi,, wife in any of the
festivities that the bridal party
may engage in.
. Q. I know that an invitation to
both wedding and reception im-
poses the obligation of a gift. But
if there is to be no reception,
what does one do in this case?
A. In this case, if you have been
invited to the wedding, you surely
would want to give a gift of some
kind.
Q. What is the rule regarding
the eating of bread or rolls at the
table?
A. They must be broken off (not
cut) and buttered, one piece at a
time as you eat them. You' may
break off and butter a piece which
is big enough for several bites at
a time, but not an entire half of
the slice or roll. Hot breads—muf-
fins, biscuits, popovers—are often
buttered all at once as they taste
better when eaten.
