Heimrich, Brantford. were weekend visitors at • the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haberer, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bris- son and family, St. Thomas, were weekend visitors with friends and relatives in Zurich. Miss Arlene Haberer, London, and Arnie Meyer, Pt. Huron, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Haberer. Ladies Auxiliary The Ladies Auxiliary to the Boy Scouts, Cubs, Girl Guides and Brownies are holding their regul- ar meeting in the Town Hall on February 19, immediately after the Girl Guide Meeting. Mr .and Mrs. Larry Hartman and sons, London, were visitors last week with the former's moth- er, Mrs Theresa Hartman. Edward Deichert, Sarnia, and Margaret Deichert, Kitchener, were weekend visitors with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Rei- chert. Mrs. George Grunau, Birming- ham, Michigan, was a visitor last week at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Yungblut. Mrs. Leroy O'Brien returned to her hom ern Zurich after spend- ing a week with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wil- liam O'Brien, in London. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ducharme, Bluewater Highway; Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Ducharme, Amherstburg, and Mrs. Greg Fleming and Linda, Crediton, were Monday visitors with Mrs. Theresa Hartman. Attend Funeral Mrs. Beatrice Hess, Miss Ethel Hess, and Mrs. George Hess at- tended the funeral of the late Gordon Bissett in Goderich last week. Hospital Patients Mrs. Sol Zimmerman is a pat- ient in Clinton Public Hospital, Mr. John Gascho is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London, and Mr. Ed Edighoffer is a patient in Clinton Public Hospital. ZURICH Citizens NEWS Mrs. Minnie Weido last week moved into her home in Zurich, which she recently purchased from the estate of the late Joseph Fos- ter 0 World Day Of Prayer At Hensall (By our )Hensall corresondent) The World's Day of Prayer was held at Cannel Presbyterian Church, last Friday, with Chisel- hurst, Hensall United and St. Paul's uniting with them. Leaders were Mrs. S. Dougall, Mrs. C. Daniel and Mrs. W. O. Goodwin. Mrs. Frank Wright, Kippen, was the speaker and Mrs. William Brown soloist. Prayers were offered by Mrs. Percy Camp- bell, Mrs. Mary Taylor, Mrs. G. Armstrong, Mrs. Ed. Fink and Mrs. R. Taylor, Jr. 0 Dashwood Couple Honoured On 40th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Otto Willert, Dashwood, were guests of honour at a surprise dinner party at the Dominion Hotel, Zurich, on Satur- day night. The occasion marked the 40th wedding anniversary of the couple, who were married on February 12, 1919, at the home of the bride (the former Flossie Sur- erus). During the dinner they were presented with flowers from their eight grandchildren and a televis- ion set from their children, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Willert (Eileen), Dashwood, Mr, and Mrs. Jerome Dietrich (Ruth) Zurich, and Mr. and Mrs. William Willert, Toronto. A social evening was held later at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jer- ome Dietrich. 0 HENSALL KINETTES ENTERTAIN HUSBANDS (By our Hensall correspondent) Hensall Kinettes entertained their husbands to a sleigh ride par- ty last Thursday evening, follow- ed with cards and dancing and a late super at the Dominion Hotel, Zurich. Winners of cards were Mrs. Jack Deitz and John Heal. 0 Everyone Reads The Classifieds WEDNESDAY, FEERUARY 18, 1959 Mrs. A. Stoskopf Mrs, Adeline Stoskopf, 675 King Street West, Kitchener, died on Monday, February 9, in the Horst Nursing Home, Kitchener, after a brief illness, at the age of 86. Born in. Zurich, she was the daughter of the late Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Johnston, and had lived in Kitchener for more than 35 years. She was a faithful member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the United Lutheran Church Women of that church. She was a very active Red Cross worker as long as her health permitted. Her husband, Edward Stoskopf, Gone To Montreal Dr. Archie MacKinnon, Hugh MacKinnon, and Ross Johnston left on Monday morning for Mont- real, where they will visit their uncle, Orland Johnston. who is a patient in a hospital in that city. predeceased her in 1949. Mourning her loss is one sister, Miss Alice Johnston. Kitchener. Two sisters predeceased her, Susie in 1957, and Matilda, on January 16, 1959. The funeral was held from the Ratz-Bechtel funeral home, on Wednesday, February 11, with the Rev. J. M. Zimmerman in charge of the service. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery, Baden. Church was held on Tuesday, February 10, with Milton Oesch in charge. Af- ter the singing of a few hymns, and a responsive Scripture read- ing, the pastor led in prayer. Miss Olive O'Brien gave the top- ic on "Christian Brotherhood." She said that prayer is the least used, but the mightiest force in the world. After a Georgraphy Match, lunch was served.
