The ceiling throughout the store has been painted white, and a new style of fluorescent lights has been installed. The tubes of light run from one end of the building to the other, making the entire store seem lit up like day- light. The old walls in the building have been covered with a new style masonite, grey int colour. A new floor, of linoleum tiles, light beige in color, has been installed throughout. A 20 -foot display case holds all the fresh vegetables and fruit. All the shelving and islands are of new construction. The main sec- tion of the store has shelving down both sides with a large dis- play island running down the middle. The check-out counter is set in front of the centre island. Across the back of the main part of the store are two meat cases, which hold an ample sup- ply of fresh and cured meats. Be- hind these cases is the working area for the meat department, which leads to the two walk-in refrigeration units. According to Mr. Thiel, the store will specialize more in fresh meats than they have in the past. In the new addition there is shelving on both walls about three-quarters of the length of the store. Beyond this is a dry-clean- ing cupboard on the one side, and i the ice cream and dairy cases along the other. Across the back of the new section is located the frozen foods display case. Two archways serve as entrances to the new section. The store has also a coffee grinder in operation, which will give customers coffee ground to their own requirements. Shopping nn this new modern store will be a pleasure for both men and wo- men. Gifts Ready For Eary Shoppers On.
