RADER, Correspondent) 40th Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weiberg were pleasantly surprised on the • occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Decem- ber 13, when their family, broth- ers and sisters were present. After they were presented with flowers the, evening was spent playing aeroplane bunco. Hubert, -son of Mr. and Mrs. Weiberg, read the address and they were presented with a clock from the brothers and sisters and a sum of money from the family. Mr, and Mrs. Weiberg have five sons and two daughters, Garnet, Hubert, Howard and Gordon all sof Waterloo, and Earl, at home. Loreen (Mrs, Lorne Devine) Dashwood, and Vera (Mrs Ervin Latta) Waterloo; also five grand - Mr. and . Mrs. Leo, Gibson spent 'Sunday at Port. Huron where they 'were sponsors for Debbie Lee Gossman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gossrnan. The christ- ,ening took place at Faith Luth- eran Church, Frank Watson Frank Watson, beloved husband of the late Hazel Snell, -died in Detroit on Sunday, December 21. He was a brother-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Snell. He is survived by one son, Jack, and two grandchildren. Service was held in Detroit on Monday evening, and burial took place in Exeter cemetery on Tues- day, December 23. League . Party Rev. and Mrs. K. L. Zorn enter- tained the Walther League at their home on Monday evening December 22. The evening was spent in games and contests. Winners were: Bob Becker, Ronald 1Vlerner, Don Ge- nttner, June Rader, Anne Koeh- ler, Delmar Miller and Jim Beck- er. They were also treated to a delicious lunch, with carol singing. Christmas Service and Festal Program Calvary E.U,B, Church, Dash- wood, celebrated Christmas on Sunday, December 21. The Christ- mas service was held in the fore- noon, and the Festal Program in the evening. Thechoir rendered three. anthenis and Miss Dorothy Cunningham, was guest soloist: In the evening Mrs. J. M. Tie- rnan and the junior teachers were in charge. The program consisted of choruses, solos, recitations, ex- ercises and dialogues. The inter- mediate and senior scholars pre- sented a play entitled "The Scar- let Ribbon". Mrs. Robert Hamath- er and Miss Fay Ford took the leading parts. Mrs. Ken McCrae was at the organ and Mrs. J. M. Tieman and Bonnie McCrae at the piano. The worship service was taken by the pastor, Rev. W. F. Krotz, who was also chairman for the program.
