Bantams Lose To. Hensall 9-2,
Midgets Victorious By 5-3 Score
Zurich Bantams and Midgets journeyed to-Hensall on Fridp.,
night for a doubleheader with the two fiensall teams. The Ban-
tams lost. out 9-2 to the bigger Hensall crew, but' the Midgets
came through with a sparkling 5-3victory over their opponents.

Scoring one goal in the first per-

the third, the Zurich Midgets eas-
ily rung up a 5-4 victory oyer the

Play was fairly ev,th in the first
period, although, Boll-4:ohnston
scored early to, shove Zurich in
the lead. At the ten minute mark

In the secend'period the' Midget
Flyers showed,: their , superiority
over the Hensall crew, scoring two •
unanswered goals, first by Earl.
Wagner, and then Willert.
The third period saw the team
split even with two goals each,
Willert and Johnston scoring for
Zurich and Chipchase. and Horton
netting.the Hensall markers. Play
was. fast and furious throughout
the entire contest, .and at different
stages of the game it looked as. if
a fight .could -break . out.
Five penalties were called; three
to Zurich and two,, .to Hensall.
Weido, Johnston, and Bill Wagner
sat out minors fOr..the locals, while
Christian and Zacques .each had
two minutes in, the sin. bin .for
Hensall.

Hensall scored three goals in the
first, -four in the second and added,
two more in the third, to swamp
the Zurich Bantams 9-2„
Cameron Witmer scored . unas-
sisted for Zurich in the second
period, and Earl Wagner got the
other goal, also unassisted in the
third.
For Hensel, Jones was the top
scorer with three goals. Chapinan
scored twice, with singles going to
McNaughton, &Male,. • Chipchase
and Nookes. There were no pen-
alties called hi the contest. •

Zurich Peewees
Win Fourth Game
Now In First Place
With Cameron Witmer leading
the attack the Zurich Peewees tr-
immed Ailsa Craig 4-1 in Hensall
on Friday night It was the fourth
straight victory for the locals
without being defeated. The vic-
tory gives them undisputed pos-
sesion of first place. Prior to the
game they were tied with Ailsa
Craig, both having won three ga-
mes and losing none.

Cameron Witmer was the her
of the Zurich gang, scoring three
goals in the second period, two of
them unassisted: ..
After Ailsa Craig had taken an
early lead in the first period Wit-
mer , came roaring back early in
the second to score his first goal
of the night, on a pasi7tout from
Barry Block. His nett' two goals
came in quick succession after
the first one.
Roy McAdams potted the fourth
Zurich' goal in the third period,
ona pass, from Barry Wock and
Robert Bannister.
Richard Stade in the Zurich net,
was a standout for the locals, as
he repeatedly turned aside shots
that looked like surd' goals. Only
one penalty was called in the ga-
me, that to Barry Block for
roughing.
The next home game for the
Zurich Peewees will be on Friday,
January 9, when they play host
to the Lambeth team in Hensall.
