Mr, and Mrs. Victor Dinnin and Bill, spent Sunday in Petrolia with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinnin. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McLean London, were weekend visitors with friends in Windsor and De- troit. Mr. and Mrs, Ward Fritz spent several days over the weekend visiting with friends in Windsor and Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Sararas. Waterloo, were weekend visitors with the former's mother, Mrs. Adeline Sararas. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Gascho and family, London, were weekend visitors in Zurich with Mr. and Mrs. Norman Gascho. Rev. .and Mrs. Cyril Gingerich and Rev. Gordon Elliott, Willow dale, were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gingerich. Mr. and Mrs. John Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smith, Wind- sor, were visiting relatives and friends in Zurich for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Simon Smitlh. Hamilton, Jimmie Baird, Toronto and Patricia and Edward Mittel- holtz, London, were weekend vis- itors with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mit• telholtz. Mrs. Theresa Hartman and sons Cyril, Gerald, and Robert were weekend visitors with Nir. and Mrs, Richard Hartman in Windsor, also attending the 25th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Tyrus Stansbury and the 55th anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ducharme, in Detroit. Suffers Accident Mrs. M. MacKinnon met with an unfortunate accident last weer when she fell down the steps in her home, cutting her head sever- ely. After being attended to by Dr. Klahsen, she was removed to South Huron Hospital in Exeter where she is improving as nicely as can be expected. Martin Luther Fila on TV Saturday Night The film, "Martin Luther" wil. be shown on television on Satur- day night, at 11.30 p.m. It wilt be on channel 10, London. Five year old Kirk Clouthier, a victim of muscular dystrohy is thrilled by a visit to the fire hall and a chance to get right up there in the driver's seat. His friend is fireman Bob Martin, one of Canada's 20,000 firefighters who have again endorsed the fund-raising campaign of The Muscular Dystrophy As- sociation of Canada. Native of 'Jens .aa Featured in Toronto Newspaper; S f ccessf of In Finances J, Wilson Berry, native of Hens - all and a former student at Clin- ton Collegiate Institute, was feat- ured on the financial page of Last Saturday's Globe and Mail. He is a bachelor, and president of the Guaranty Trust Company, with assets under administration, $175,000,000. Born in Hensall, his father was an importer of draft horses from Scotland and France, and was a judge at the Royal Winter Fair. After finishing school in Clinton, a 12 -mile trip by railway each day, Berry entered the Sterling Bank at $25 a month, becoming acting manager within two years. This bank is now the Canadian Bank of Commerce. After work in a trust company in Windsor, he persuaded a group of businessmen to start the Guar- anty Trust Company. In 1936 he became general manager of the firm. Now running a trust comp- any of national importance from its hub in Toronto, he is considered a highly successful executive in a highly competitive field. 0 How Can I? Q. Otherwise, it is considered very bad manners to make use of water as a "water -downer". Q. Is it proper for a woman to use her maiden name as a middle name after she is married? A. Yes, this is the established custom. In other words, after Joyce Margaret Stewart marries William Henry Morgan, she then becomes Joyce Stewart Morgan. Q. When one is sending a gift to a newborn baby, is the package addressed to the infant or to the mother? A. It is more often sent to the mother—but you may do as you wish regarding this. Q. When a bride -elect is making up her guest list for the wedding and finds it too large for the room available, should she issue invita- tions anyway to the entire list and trust that many will not attend? A. She's taking a big chance if she does this!
