relatives over the weekend.

Mrs. Stanley Gingerich• and lit-

Hold Anniversary
Anniversary services were held
on Sunday, September 14, at Ga-
slhen United Church, with a targe
crowd at both serv9ices. Rev. C.
Daniels; Hensall, was minister and
Mrs. Bruce Keys organist. Rev.
T. J. 'Pitt assisted at night.
The ,choir selections were "A-
wake, Awake" and "Comrades of
the Cross", Mrs. Robert bert Peck and
Mrs. Elmer Hayter sang "God
Bath Not Promised". Two male
quartettes "Our 'Galilee" and "No
Not One" were sung by Mesetis.
Richard and John Robinson, Roy
McBride and Benne IVIetMinll'ey. A
mixed quartette "Mansion Over
the Hi l-tqp" by Mrs, Anson Mc-
Kiroley, Mrs. Robert Peck and
Richard Robinson and Rory Mc-
Bride.
During the.offering at both ser-
vices Mrs. !Clare 1V1cBxiid'e played
trumpet silos, "It Took a 1V1ieacle"
and "My Desire".
The Woman's Missionary Soc-
iety will meet on Thursday even-
ing at the home of Mrs. William
Hayter.

Anson McKinley on Sunday.

Virginia Vanstone, Toronto, re-
turned to that city after spending
five weeks visiting in this dist-
rict.
Mrs. Fred Dwyer, Vancouver,
B.C., was a recent visitor with
Mr. and Mrs. 141ilton Pollock.
Mr. and Mrs. William Oesch and
family, and Mrs. Rudy Oesch sp-
ent Sunday in Tavistock.
Mrs. John Turner, Mrs. Wilfred
Turner and Linda and Johnnie,
and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Turner,
Debbie and Stewart, were recent
-visitors with Mr, and Mrs. Milton
Pollock.
James Boyce, who has been sail-
ing on the Great Lakes, was a
recent visitor with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boyce.

Will Sponsor Cubs,
Host Conference

The Hensall Kinsmen held their
first meeting of the season in the
Kozy Korner restaurant last
Thursday night, with president
Harold Knight in charge. Guests
were Jack Simmons and Bill Cole-
man off Hensall, Sheldon Wein;
and past deputy -governor, Les
Parker, Exeter.
The Kinsmen decided that they
would sponsor a cub pack of Boy
Scout s.
A Zone D conference will, be
held in Hensal1 on April 5, and a
committee wase set. up to be in
charge of the affair.
On behalf of theclub. Jack
Drysdale accepted the Boake Ef-
ficiency Award, for 'being the club
with the best record of sending
all reports to the National Mice,
Les Parker made the presenta-
tion, as. well as giving an account
of his trip to the National Con-
vent -ion in Winnipeg in August. He
told of having visited Ti Merle,
a former member of the Hensall
Cltib now living in Manitoba.
