Miss Elaine Hugill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hugill was rushed to Clinton Public Hospital last week, where she underwent surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bedour and family enjoyed a few days in To- ronto last week. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bris- son and family in St. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Mose Brenneman, Mr. and Mrs. William Facey and Miss Amelia Clausius, ail of Tavi- stock, spent the weekend with Robert and Henry Ciausius. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Deichert were their son Edward, Sarnia, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Made and family, Hanover, Mrs. Charles Carr and family, Georgetown, Delaware, are spend- ing a few weeks with her mother, Mrs. Anne Turkheim, while Mr. Carr is attending to business in Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Don Oke and fam- ily spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McLean, Lond- on. The Oke's youngest son is undergoing treatment in St. Jo- seph Hospital, London. Baechler Reunion Close to 30 members of the Baechler family gathered at the home of Mr, and Mrs. William Baechler on Sunday, for the first of what is planned to be the an- nual nnual Baechler reunion. The gathering also honoured Mr. and Mrs. Soloman Baechler, on the occasion of their 46th wed- ding anniversary. Divisions Court A session of Divisions Court was held ,in the Zurich Town Hall last Thursday, with Judge Frank F1ingland presiding. A number of cases were disposed of. Miss Norma Steinback spent her weeks vacation. at the home of her sister and brother-in-law in St, Catherines. Mrs. Hackett and Linda returned (home with her to spend this week with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ted Steinlback. Miles, agricultural representative for Huron County) "A brisk market is reported on turnips. Harvesting of white beans was general over the weekend but catchy weather is showing opera- tions. Only a few silos have been filled as comm is not too mature. Early planted grain corn is begin- ning to dent but good weather is needed for a lot of fields to reach maturity.
