A DULL MOMENT — �. SOMETHING FOR THE ENTIRE FA Girl Guide News (By Carol Fischer) Last Friday night the Girl Guides held their first regular meeting of the new season. The evening started with singing the Queen, and then the Guide Prom- ise. Four girls were chosen for the position of Patrol Leaders, and at the next meeting these girls must have speeches ready, to see who will be elected to the two positions. Two girls were also chosen to run for secretary, and they will also be voted on at this meeting. The group then learned a new song and practised some knots, after which the meeting closed with Taps. The next regular meet- ing will take place this Friday night. at 8 o'clock. 0 St. Joseph C.4' L Meets At Gelinas Last Tuesday evening the mon- thly meeting of the Catholic Wo- men's League of St. Peter's Church, St. Joseph, was held at the home of Mrs. Mozart Gelinas. Thirteen members were present, and in the absence of Father Poisson the meeting was opened with a prayer by Mrs, Gelinas. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved by Mrs. Mat- thew Denomme, after which plans for a bazaar to take place at the Parish Hall on November 15 were discussed. Games of cards were enjoyed by all, after which came a delicious lunch. The next meeting will take place at the home of Mrs. Wilfred Corriveau.
