PLENTY OF HELP was on hand to

All-Star °ti restling Card In Zurich
Arena Stars Gene Kiniski 'and Sigh

wrestlingmatch ever to be held
in Huron County will take place
in the Zurich Arena on Saturday
night, September 20, when terrible
Gene .Krnndski, the former Eidrnont-
on Eskimo football star, will take
on the newest wrestling sensation
of TV Dara Singh, in the main
event of the evening.
The monster show is a special
attraction being held in conjunc-
tion with the Zurich Fall Fair,
which is ,going all out to build
tip a bigger and 'better 'fair than
ever.
The Saturday evening card will
also, feature a Tag -Team bout,
in which Maurice LaPointe and
Tarzan 'llourville will face Lee
!Hen ing and Karl Ku]aski. In the
preliminary bout George Pennch-
efif will' tangle with Tiger Tasker.
All these wrestlers are very
popular, most oaf them appeared
on the Toronto 'TV wrestlinlg show
this past Saturday night. Dara
Singh, who is a newcomer to the
Canadian fans, has, been challeng-
ing Whipper Billy Watson for the
Brritislh Empire Championship si,n-
ee he cane to Ontario from India,
where 'he was champion of that
country. He has `finally been giv-
en the chance, and will fight
Watson in Toronto this Thursday
night. If he is successful in win-
ning the crown he will be putting
his title at stake against Kiniski
Zurich on Saturday night.
Over 2,000 people are expected
to be on hand to see this'out-
standing eventing of professional
twrestling.

A short meeting of the trustees
rof the village of Zurich was held
in the +clesrk's office last Wednes-
id ay night, at which time council
reviewed the recent sidewalk con-
struction which has taken place
in Zurich.
In other !business, the council
instructed councillor Leroy Thiel
and fire chief Milton Deitz to
pua^rehasie a good first-aid kat for
the litre truck.

Reserve seat tickets for the
Saturday night All-Star Wrestl-
ing Show may be !purchased at
the Zurich Variety Store, or in
Exeter they are available at
Rether's Restaurant.
Only a. limited number of seats
will be reserved, the balance of
the arena will be rush seats.
Since an exceptionally large
crowd is expected to be on hand,
people would be well advised to
pick up reserved seals and be
sure of a good place to see .

The Horse Shoe, billed. for the
Monday night of the Zurich Fall
Fair, continues to look as if it
will be the main attraction of the
fair.
Two local horsemen, who are
directors of the Fair Board, and
have been showing at all the rest
off the fairs throughout the dist-
rict, report they have contacted
all the better showanen in regards
to corning here. Orf all the men
they asked to cone, none have
turned them down.
The fact that theme .is no other
fair any place in Western Ontario
the same day is going to be a big
help in drarwing the best entries
possible to the show here. On top
of this, the prize money has been
increased coneideraibly over other
years.
M. L. "Tory" Gregg, popular
master of ceremonies, will be pre-
sent to do the announcing for the
Horse Show.

Dashwood Band
Will Lead Parade
The monster parade which is to
highlight the Monday afternoon
section of the Zurich Fall Fair
will be forming at. the school gr-
ound's at 1. p.m. shanp. It wfill
be headed by the Dashwood Citi-
zens Band, followed by the manly
school children mardh a g, and then
the eumereuis business, indinldual
and school ,floats. An extra prize
was added to the parade list; one
for the best individual entry of
any kind.
Most of the business places have
announced their intentions of hav-
ing an entry in this parade: how-
ever, if there is anyone who has
been missed, they are asked to
contact Leroy Thiel as soon, as
possible.
The Fair will be officially open-
ed at 1.30 p.m., by C. S. McNaugh-
ton, M.P.P. tfor Huron. The Dash-
wood Band' rowill Inlay throughout
the afternoon

Zurich Chamber of Commerce Elects
Milton Oesch As New President
Milton Oesch, a footwear merch-
ant in Zurioh, was elected presi-
dent .of the Zurich and District
Chamber of Commerce at their an:
nail meeting held last Thursday
night in the Dominion Hotel. First
vicelpresident will be Charles
Thiel, and Jack Bannister is sec-
ond vice-president.
BM Siebert was again elected
secretary, and Earl Weido treas-
urer. The executive council will
consist of Jack Pearson, chairman,
Ted Steinback, Lorne Klopp, Karl
Haberer, V. L. Becker, Oscar
Grab, Bill McAdams, Lorne Rad-
er and Harold Thiel. The nomin-
ating committee consisted of Al-
bert Kalbfleisch, Reg. Black and
Jack Bannister.
A special committee was set up
to investigate the possibility of
bringing a new industry to Zurich,
and they will send delegations to
several interested prospects.
An additional donation was
made to the Zurich Fail Fair;
$25 was given towards the stag-
ing of a Baby Show on Monday
afternoon.
Five new memibers were accept-
ed into membership in the organ-
ization in the persons of Alex
Mousseau, Wilmer Adkins, Carl
Decker, Len Erb, and Len Mern-
er.
Baby Show Latest Addition To Fair;
Ten Attractive Prizes Offered
A last minute addition to the
program of the Zurich Fall Fair
is the holding of a baby show dur-
ing the Monday afternoon cere-
monies. The .prize money for this
show is being donated by the Zu-
rich and D strict Chamber of Com-
merce. Judging of the babies will
take place in the Community
Centre at 3 p.m. sharp. The cont-
est is open to anyone.
Two di,f:ferent classes will be
available for entries to compete
in. One category is for babies 12
months and under, while the other
is for babies from 13 months to
24 months. Prizes an both classes

A staff of ladies will be on hand.
to assist the mothers in any way
possilble, !before the judg:ng starts.
The committee in charge is Mrs.
Jim Parkins, Mrs. Lorne Rader,
and Mrs. Charles. Thiel. A group
of registered nurses will be pres-
ent to do the judging.
Mothers requiring more infer-
m.ation may get in touch with
Mrs. Parkins, or any other mem-
ber of the committee.

As fancy a wrestler as has
appeared in Canada in many a
moon is Dara Singh, of India,
He is fighting British Empire
Champion Billy Watson in To-
ronto on Thursday night and.
then on Saturday night will be
taking a crack at terrible Gene
Kiniski in the Zurich Arena.
Wrestling fans in this district
are indeed fortunate to have two
such top notch stars appear here.
Accident Victim
Much Improved
Gerald Zehr, 14 month old son
of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zehr, Zu-
rich, is improving after being hos-
pitalized last Thursday, when a
ear driven by his grandfather,
Aaron. Gingerich, hitt him as he
was playing at the farm.
The accident happened when the
boy darted out around the corn-
er of the family garage, as Mr.

Hospital by his mother and grand-
father, and was treated there by
Dr. J. A. Addison.

Midway Show Will
Be Ready ti Run
On Saturday Night
Excitement is building up by
the minute as the time for the
Zurich Fall Fair gets closer. The
Peter March Midway will be com-
ing to Zurich an Saturday and will
be ready to operate for the Sat-
urday night. There show will con-
sist of a Ferris wheel, a merry-go-
round, and one other ride, ideal
for children and adults alike.
Members of the Zurich Lions
Club will be setting up various
games outdoors, along with the
midway. The Women's Institute
will have a food booth on the
grounds, and the Lions: Club will
operate a. booth inside the arena.
Fair goers are reminded the
midway will be in operation on
Saturday night, as well as on Mon-
day afternoon and evening.

New Park Site
Ready For Fair
The development of the new
park newt to the Community
Centre in Zurich has been pro -
grossing very rapidly dwling the
past week. Six or seven trucks
have been drawing fill steadily an
en effort to have the grounds
ready for the Fall Fair this Sat-
urday and Monday. The total a-
mount of .fill: to come at the
present is coanpleted, and only
a small amount of levelling re-
mains to be finished.
An additional piece of ,property
was purchased last week from
Mrs, 'Edna Oswald, next to the
-grounds already purchased, and
th°s section has also been tilled.
Volunteers completed the jab
of placing the tales in the ditdh
running through the centre of the
property, and everything should
be irn readiness for the fair.
