with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turkheim.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pulford,
London, Were weekend visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Haberer.
Mrs. Anne Sauve has moved her
belongings to her new home in
SScarboro.
Mr. and Mrs. William Hess,
Woodstock, were weekend visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hess.
Maurice Weber has returned
home after being a patient in St.
Joseph Hospital, London.
Ross Gascho and family were
weekend visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Norman. Gascho in Zurich.
Edward Deichert, Sarnia. was a
weekend visitor with his parents
Mr, and Mrs. Victor Deichert.
Miss Stella. Rose spent the holi-
day weekend with her mother,
Mrs. L. Rose,
Mrs, Gertie Deters has returned
home after being a patient in St.
Joseph's Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. H G McKinley,
Toronto, were weekend guests of
Mr and Mrs. Tom Meyers, Zurich.
Mrs. NancyKoehler and her
granddaughter, Nancy Craig, To-
ronto, have returned to Zurich.
Dr. Archie MacKinnon, Galt.,
was a weekend visitor with his
mother, Mrs. M. MacKinnon.
Albert Heideman and boys. Or-
angeville, were weekend visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Heid -
man.
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Boshart
and family, New York, were rec-
ent visitors with friends and rela-
tives in Zurich and district.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bedard and
family have moved into their home
which they purchased recently
from Mrs. Anne Sauve.
Miss Meda S:urorus has return-
ed to her teaching duties in To-
ronto, after spending a holiday in
Zurich,
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rase, Wyan-
dotte Michigan, were holiday visit-
ors with their parents and friends
in the Zurich district.
Mark Bowden has returned to
his home in Toronto after spend-
ing the summer at the farm„of Mr,
and Mrs, Arnold Merner.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thiel and
family spent the holiday weekend
with friends and relatives in De-
troit,
Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Brown and
family, Oshawa, were weekend vis-
etors in Zurich with Mr. and Mrs.
Toni Meyers.
Dr. W. B. Coxon is a patient
in Victoria Hospital, London,
where he underwent an operation
last week.
Mr. and Mrs, Bryce Mack and.
family were recent visitors to Nia-
gara Falls, also attending the
C.N.E. at Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McNichol
and son, Michael, visited at the
home of the former's sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Delmer Meidinger,
•Mrs. Allan Craig, Toronto, was
a weekend visitor with her broth-
er, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Koehler,
also her sister, Mrs. Leonard Erb.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Vietch, St.
Jacobs, were Thursday visitors
with their aunt, Mrs. Nancy Koeh-
ler.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brennan
and family, Detroit, were week-
end visitors with Mr, and Mrs,
Seth Ammans.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Kaufman and
tarnily, Scarlboro, were weekend
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Haberer, Sr.

MR. AND MRS. MATTHEW DUCHARME were
married last Saturday in St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, St. Joseph. The bride is Martha, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ducharme, Dashwood, and the groom
is the son of William Ducharme, Jr., and the late Mrs.
Ducharme. The young couple will reside at St. Joseph,

week with the latter's parents,

Mr. and Mrs. H. Taman, Kitch-
ener, were weekend visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thiel and
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Rader.
Mrs. Susan Hagen and daughter
Mary, will be leavng Zurich and
taking up residence in London,
where Mary is teaching.
Mr. and Mrs. George Thiel and
Mr. and Mrs. Wes Hugill were
Sunday visitors in London with
Mr. and Mrs, Laird Thiel and fam-
ily.
Mrs. Ed Horman and daughters,
Woodstook, have been spending
their holidays with Mrs. Harman's
parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ted Rader,
on the Goshen Line.
Dr. and Mrs. Fred Hess and
family have returned to their
home in Port Credit after spend-
ing a vacation with Mrs. Mary
Hess, in Zurich.
Jim Siebert and friend Bab Sad-
ler, Detroit, visited at the home
of the foamer's uncle and aunt,
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Sieibert over
the Laibor Day weekend.
Misses Phyllis and Joanne Meid-
inger returned home after spend-
ing several days at the home of
their aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs. John Aubin in Seaforth.
Anthony and Patrick Meidinger
enjoyed their holidays visiting the
hone of their aunt and uncle, Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Montague in Lon-
don.
Mrs. Ross Me,Nab and son Eric,
Halifax, are in Zurich where they
will spend the next month, while
Lieutenant Ross MeNab will be
in Florida on duty.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gingerich
and daughter Glor)i'a, spent the
weekend in Wi11owd-ale with their
son, Rev. Cyril Gingerich. They
also attended the C.N.E. in To-
ronto.
Mr .and Mrs. Eugene Palmer,
New York, Mr. and Mrs. Ball
Burr and Mr. and Mrs. George
Burr, all of Preston, were weekend
visitors with Mr. and Mrs, Roy
Clark.
Mrs. Ernie Laideaw, Zurich, and
Miss Margaret Fuss, RN, London,
flew from London to New York
city last Friday, where they en-
joyed the weekend sight-seeing
and touring the city, They expect
to return home this Wednes+dad.
Mrs. Nancy Koehler and grand-
daughter, Nancy Craig, returned
with the latter's another, Mrs. A.
Craig to Toronto, where they will
take in the C.N.E. and also at-
tend the 50th wedding anniversary
of Mr. and Mrs, Wiliam Frey-
muth.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon i -Jess, Mr.
and Mrs. Hulbert Schilbe and Mr.
and Mrs. Don Hesse spent the

25th Anniversary
A surprise ,dinner party was
held at the home of Mr, and Mrs.
Jack Turkheim last Friday night,
to celelbrate the silver wedding an-
niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin
Gascho. Guests present were from
Cooksvilie, Richmond 1-1i11, Prest-
Con, Exeter, Hensel). and their fam-
ilies in Zurich.
Messages of congratueations
were received by telephone from
Mrs, Gaseho's sisters in George-
town, Delaware, and Los Angeles,
California,
G. Co Geror ette
Gerard C. Geromette passed a-
way in Madrid, Spain, in. his 26th
year. He had only been sick a
short time, having suffered a
heart attack. A son of Mr. and
Mrs. William L. Geromette, he had
formerly lived in Zurich before
moving back to Detroit some time
ago.
Surviving besides his wife and
parents are two daughters; two
sons, five brothers and four sis-
ters.
He was 'buried in Santa Maria
Cemetery, adjoining the Santa
Maria Roman Catholic Church., in
Madriid.

district, where they enjoyed fish-
ing.
Attends Course
Mrs. Milton Oesch has returned
home from Kitchener, where she
has been attending a course fin,
floristry. She plans on doing conn
siiderable work in this line at her
home.
