The 'Kings had led all the 1 way through ough the game, holding. a 4-0, 6-3 and 8-5 ieaid at various stages of .the game. The loss was a heart -breaker for r edlefer Don O'Brien, who came into pitch in the:fourth inning and held the Lin - cabs to only (four hits for the rest of the game. Doug O'Brien led off with a single, followed by Don O'Brien's double and Bruce Molr's single. Arn Meyer reached first 'on a fielder's choice, the next two batters, Town Rawlings and Gerry Bell flied out, and then Helller, Gi!gnae, and Bob. White each fol- lowed with successive singles. In the third inning Mitchell scored three wins on two singles and Ken Sax'on's home run over the left field fence. However, Zu- rich got two of these runs back again in .their half of the inning on three singles and a base on balls. In the fourth inning the Lin- coins scored two, more an a single, a double, and two Zurich errors. The 'Kings caane back with two more in .their half of the fourth, when Bruce Moir led off with a home run and Gerry Bell drove in Tom Rawlings, who walked, with a double. With runners on second and third with only one out Zurich failed to score another run as the next two batters struck out. Coveney Wins Game In the fatal sixth inning, with Zurich leading 8-5, B6al Gatenby walked 'for the Lincoltns, Smith singled, Colquhoun filed out, and Noble walked to fill the bases. With two strikes on the batter, George Coveney, he smashed a grand slammer over the might field fence togive Mitchel a 9-8 lead and win the game. The Lumber - kings outhit Miitchell 12-9, but left eight runners on base compar- ed to the Lincolns five. Moir Stars Bruce Moir, classy centre field- er :from Henson, continued to star for (the 'Kings as he had three hits for four times at bat, one 'be- ing his home' run. Ron Heller made an impressive showing with the bat as he had two its for three times at bat, and Gerry Bell went two for four. Five Mitchell erroas and sev- en bases on balls were a big help in the 'Kliang& victory. Close Game Up :until. the eighth inning the game was very chose, and could have gone either way with a hit or two at the right time. The Lumberkinlgs opened the scoring in the fourth, When they scored two runs on a single. a base on balls, and two sacrifices. They added three more in, the sixth on an error, a base on balls, and tthree successive single's. Mitchell came hack for two runs in their half orf the sixth with a home run by Coveney, an error, a fielders choice and a single.
