Church when Peter .Masse, son of the famous Masse family, ex- changed vows with Jean MadP71.- erson, formerly of Nova Scotia. The mass and ceremony took place at 9 a.m.., the celebrant 'being the parish priest, Father Poisson. In the evening a reception was given them in the Zurich Coxnrnunity Centre where a large crowd at- tended to wish the young coupler all Of the best in their new life. The young couple left on a hon- ey moan trip .after the celebration and will be away for some time, On their return they will reside in this neighbourhood, Sumner Over This week the suanmer holidays for many will .become a thing of the past. School children. who have enjoyed freedom and roamed .at large for the past two months will again be called to continue their school duties rofienraeto their school duties for another year. Adults from cities or from other places who have left their post of duty tin shop, office, or in other ' places employed, will also have to return. However, they swill be resigned to their past vacation and enjoyment, they will feel the pinch of it after inhaling the balmy breeze which sweeps across the lake at all times. They will also miss their daily tbath and their sun tan, also their little trek along the beach and country- side, When they return to their hom- es all of these Little incidents will only be past memories for them to think of. As time passes on it cures all, they will forget the gaiety of their vacation and will again adjust themselves to thelir daily routine, There is not much they can do but live in hope and await for the corning of another year. The "Rhilites" of Detroit made a return visit to the Fred Pap - luau Cottage, on the Blue Wat- er Highway. Twenty-five young people from Detroit had a most enjoyable weekend with Mrs. Kaninski, Detroit. as their chap- erone, McLaren Reunion The fiirst McLaren reunion was held at Seaforth Lions Park on Sunday with a good attendance. Sports were under the direction of Mrs. Hugh Henderick, and Mrs. Alex McBeath. During the supper hour business was conducted and officers elected for 1959. President ds Glenn Bell, Hen - sail; secretary, Roy McLaren, Lon- don; sports, Mr, and Mrs. Gerald Bell, Mr. and Mrs, Bob Bell, Hen- sall; lunch, Mr, and Mrs. Roger Venner, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Ven - nor, 1 -louse 11. Sports winners were: Races, five and under, Kathryn and Karen Hendrick; six to eight, Gwenneth Hendrick, Mervyn Bell; eight to ten, girls, Barbara Duncan; ten to12, boys, Douglas McBeath, Ed- ward Johns.
