Goff—McAllister
(By our Hensall Correspondent)
A lovely wedding was solemnized
at Hensall United Church on Sat-
urday, August 2, at 2.30 p.m. when
Sarah Blanche Jean McAllister,
daughter of James McAllister, RR
1, Zurich, and the late Mrs. Mc-
Allister, and Glenn Burton Goff,
Sarnia, son of Mrs. Walter And-
ress and the late Mr. Claude
Goff, Landsdowne, exchanged mar-
riage vows before the Rev. Charles
D. Daniel amid a setting of white
gladioli and fern.
Wedding music was provided by
Miss Greta Lammie, who accomp-
anied the soloist, Harry Hoffman,
Dashwood. He sang, "All Joy Be
Thine", and "Wedding Prayer".
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a formal gown of
silk organza, cut on Empire lines
with a princess line front and
dropped waistline. The bouffant
skirt extended to a chapel train,
the neckline and skirt accented
with guipuire lace applique. Her
double tier cape -length veil of
imported silk illusion was held by
a silk organza pillbox headdress
with fish tail sides studded with
pearls, and she carried a cascade
of white roses and ivy.
Wearing similar street length
gowns of frosted aqua crystal
charm fashioned on princess lines
with picture hats of frosted aqua
with dropped sides, bridal attend-
ants were Miss Kathryn Hunter,
Exeter, maid of honour, with Miss
Shirley Patterson, Clinton, brides-
maid. Both carried white and pink
roses.
Neil Campbell, Sarnia, attended
the groom, and Ian McAllister, Zu-
rich, and Ron Goff ushered.
The reception was held at Arm-
strong's, Exeter.
For travelling the bride wore
a jade glint sheath dress with
white accessories and a corsage of
white Camelias. They will reside in
Sarnia.
The groom is a graduate of Ot-
I tawa Teachers College and Univer-
sity of Western Ontario. The bride
is a former teacher at Lady Beck
Public School, London.
