The meeting was. opened) with a .devotional half hour. Letters of appreciation for visits and gilfts from the organiza- tion were read. In the absence of both the sec- retary and the treasurer, Mrs. Ed. Haberer acted as secretary -treas- urer. The flower committee for August is Mrs. Ed Haberer and Mrs. W. H. Brokenshire; the visit- ing committee is Mrs. A. Fink- beiner and Miss Freida Haberer. Plans are being made to cele- brate the 50th: anniversary of the Ladies Aid, on Setember 9, with group one in charge. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer and benediction. Goff—McAllister (By our Hensall Correspondent) A lovely wedding was solemnized at Hensall United Church on Sat- urday, August 2, at 2.30 p.m. when Sarah Blanche Jean McAllister, daughter of James McAllister, RR 1, Zurich, and the late Mrs. Mc- Allister, and Glenn Burton Goff, Sarnia, son of Mrs. Walter And- ress and the late Mr. Claude Goff, Landsdowne, exchanged mar- riage vows before the Rev. Charles D. Daniel amid a setting of white gladioli and fern. Wedding music was provided by Miss Greta Lammie, who accomp- anied the soloist, Harry Hoffman, Dashwood. He sang, "All Joy Be Thine", and "Wedding Prayer". Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of silk organza, cut on Empire lines with a princess line front and dropped waistline. The bouffant skirt extended to a chapel train, the neckline and skirt accented with guipuire lace applique. Her double tier cape -length veil of imported silk illusion was held by a silk organza pillbox headdress with fish tail sides studded with pearls, and she carried a cascade of white roses and ivy. Wearing similar street length gowns of frosted aqua crystal charm fashioned on princess lines with picture hats of frosted aqua with dropped sides, bridal attend- ants were Miss Kathryn Hunter, Exeter, maid of honour, with Miss Shirley Patterson, Clinton, brides- maid. Both carried white and pink roses. Neil Campbell, Sarnia, attended the groom, and Ian McAllister, Zu- rich, and Ron Goff ushered. The reception was held at Arm- strong's, Exeter. For travelling the bride wore a jade glint sheath dress with white accessories and a corsage of white Camelias. They will reside in Sarnia. The groom is a graduate of Ot- I tawa Teachers College and Univer- sity of Western Ontario. The bride is a former teacher at Lady Beck Public School, London. 0. -- HOW CAN P Q.
