diseases; plane crashes or Cyprus
riots, get only cursory a;ttentmon.
The causes of accidents are eas-
ily recognizable, road hazards,
Maws in cars and highway design,
law enforcements and careless
drivers and pedestrians. Although
andiveduale and various organiza-
tions are trying to combat these
causes real safety .progress, as
someone :once said, can oniy come
wheel Canadians make up their
minds to stop tolerating in the
driver's seat the kind of reckless-
ness, discourtesy and sheer stup-
idity they would not tolerate any-
where else in Canadian life.
We are now in the middle of
the summer months which always
bring the traffic toll to a new
high. Let every one of us, by
word and example encourage ac-
cident free driving.
Junior Farmers
Plan Year Book
A Special Committee of the
Huron County Junior Farmers
met in Clanton on Monday, July
21 to discuss plans for their year
book. The Year Book is being
published in ,connection with the
loth Anniversary ,of the Huron
County Junior Farmers which ds
to the held October 4th and 5txlx .
The Year Book will ,include ar-
ticles on the vacuous phases of
Junior Activities carried on der-
ing the year, These activities in-
clude such things as drama, sp-
orts, debating, .public speaking,
choir, Judging competitions, only
to mention a few. The committee
also ,plans to have pictures of the
executive and the various com-
mittees concerned with the 10th
Anniversary celebration included.

the pastor Rev. A. M Amacller.
The panelling and the new carpet
are in rnrmery of the late Mr.
- 0. E. Ehnes, and the date Mrs.
Mary Tt-uemner. The drapes are
in memory of the late Mr. Alfred
llellek. Two ministerial pews
were donated b'4 Mr. and Mrs.
Delbert Geiger. Mr, and Mrs. E.
E ZVuerth donated the light at
the entrance or the church. Mr.
W. A. Siebert donated his labour
in the painting of the church
auditoeitmi. Mr. Herbert DesJar-
dine donated part of his Tabour
as carpenter. Much of the work
was a labour of love, done by
various members of the church.
The 'hoard of Trustees, who had
the responsibility and directed this
work were Mr, Delbert Geiger,
chairman, Mr. Leroy O'Brien, Mr.
Clarence Schade, Mr. Laird Jac-
obe and Mr. Herbert DesJardine.
Guests from various parts of
Canada were present, as well as
some from the United States.
Among those who attended from
a distance were; Mr and Mrs.
Steele, Toronto. The former be-
ing -a member of the choir while
he was stationed here in the. Bank
of Montreal. Mr. and Mrs. Russell
Eckstein, London, Miss Lily Hof-
fman, London, Mr. and Mrs. Clare
Hoffman, Galt, Bobby Holifmnan,
Dawson Creek, B.C., Me and Mrs.
Robert Graham, recently stationed
at Toronto., Mr, Ga'rfi,eld Witmer,
