Charles Burt, Gore Bay, Mani-
toulin Island, passed away at St.
Joseph's Hospital, London, on
Tuesday, July 22, in his 89th year.
He had resided with his son-in-
law, Edward Turnbull, for four
years. Prior to this he farmed at
Gore Bay.
He is survived by his wife, one
daughter, Mrs. Edward (Edith)
Turnbull; two sons, James, Minde-
m:oya, an the Manitoulin Island,
and Alfred, Gore Bay.
The body rested in the Hoffman
funeral home until Wednesday ev-
ening, when services were eoindsae-
ted by Rev. A. E. Holley, Grand
Bend. Time body was then taken
by motor to Manitoulin, crossing
on the Norisile boat at Tobermory.
Services were conducted at Gore
Bay Anglican church on Friday,
with interment in Gore Bay Cem-
etery, and masonic services at the
graveside.

Two Hensall Cars
In Traffic Crashes

Two distriot accidents over the
weekend caused considerable da-
mages but resulted in minor in
juries.
On Saturday afternoon a car
driven by Donald Koehler, Hamill -
ton, was making a deft hand turn
.an the fourth concession, of Tuck-
ersani,th when it was struck by
a car driven by Harold Wililert,
Hensall. Mr. and Mrs. Wmllert
received facial lacerations and
were treated at the office of Dr.
Stapleton, Seaforth.
The three Koehler children were
treated at South Huron Hospital,
Exeter, and were later released.
Damages were estimated at
$1400.
On Sunday a car driven by Miss
Frances' Fitzgerald, St. Paul, pul-
led off the highway at Sarepta
to go into the lunch counter there,
and ran ,into the back of e parked
car owned by Pearson Motors, Zu-
rich.
No one was injured in the
crash, and damages were estirnat-
ed at $800.
Both accidents were investigat-
ed by OPP Constable George Mit-
chell. of the Exeter detachment.
