the Zurich Lumberkings downed
the powerful Mitchell Legionanres

Zurich last Wednesday night.
Poor deeision of umpire Henry
Harburn on when to call the game
on account of darkness almost
lost the game for the 'Kings, as
Mitchell scored three of :their
runs after it was much too dark
to be playing ball.
Although he needed help from
Bob White in the seventh inning,

sdve do his home mound debut
+back in a Lumberking uniform.
He had ,previously pitched for Zu-
rich four years ago, and since
that .time has played bald in Cali-
fornia. Heller struck out four
batters and gave up but six hilts.
He gave up only two bases on
balls. Meanwhile Bob Sadler was
also pitching very effective ball
for Mitchell, giving up only six
hits, one a double .to Manager
Tom. Rawlings. He struck out
three Zurich battens.
The 'Kings scored one run in
the first inning, and added the
other three in the 'big 3rd hinting,
when they combined two bases
on balls and two hits to score
all three. Mitchell scored all th-
ree of their runs in the seventh
dining, which should never have
been played because of darkness.
Tom Rawl gs provided the
power .hitting for Zurich, banging
out a double and .a single in three
times at bat. Doug O'Brien, Ball:
