Masses Kathleen. Talbot, Louise
Talbot and Ann Westlake are
teaching classes at the Bible Sch-
ool being 'held in 'the United Ch-
urch, Bayiiietld. Miss Clara Clarke
is a leader ofthis school and it
will •oontinue until July 25.
Mr. and Mrs•. Bert Dunn, Jr.,
and Douglas, spent Sunday with.
Mrs. Dunn's mother, Mrs'•. Elliott,
Mitchell, and also visited rela-
tives in Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Turner,
Johnny and Linda, Mr. and Mrs.
Johan Turner spent Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Fraser 'Stirling and
farm ly, Godeninh Township.
Clearance Sale
For Ten Days
At Gascho Store
Gascho Brothers store in Zu-
rich are staging a large clearance
sale for the next ten days. Ac-
cording to the proprietors' they
have overstocked for the spring
and summer season„ and dual to
'unseasonable weather they have
much more merchandise. on hand
than they should have. Practically
every article in their store hes
been marked away down for this
special event.
The store carries a complete
dine of ladies wear, men's weer,
and all types of dry goods. A
feature of this sale is their dis-
play of merchandise upstairs, all
'articles ere marked down well be-
low the original cost.
The sale starts, on Thursday,
July 17 and ends on Saturday,
July 26.
The Penhale, Snowden and
Westlake families met at Cyan
Gregor Square, Bayfield on June
28, for their 33rd annual reunion
with over 40 present.
Dinner was served at six o'clock,
after which Alfred Hudie, vice-
president, took charge of the bus-
iness.
• One minute silence was observ-
ed in remembrance of those who
had rpassed away during the year.
After .the minutes of the last
annual reunion were read, Officers
for the coming year were elected.

The next reunion will be held
at Clan Gregor Square, Bayfield,
the last Saturday in June 1959,
at six o'clock with the same tea
makers.
Prizes were given as follows:
eldest lady. Mrs. Oliva Snowden,
Zurich: eldest gentleman, Alfred
Scotchmer, Sr.. Bayfield; young-
est girl. Debra O'Brien. Zurich;
youngest boy. Douglas Keys, Var-
na; .largest family present, Russell
Grainger. Zurich; coming the far-
thest to the picnic, Elgin Fassell,
Milwaukee, Wisconsin; lucky tick-
et, Shirley Keys. Races and con-
tests were run after the supper
and the reunion closed with a
pleasant time spent by gall present.
Lutheran Ladies
Will Hold i am
Supper In August
The Lutheran Ladies Aid, at
their regular monthly meeting
held tin the church basement dant
Tuesday night, decided to hold a
ham supper in the Community
Centre during the latter part of
August, This snapper win be open
to the public and will be under
the convenership of Mrs. Loretta
Weida.
The Ladies decided to give a
donation of plates, cups, and sau-
cers to the, Redeemer Lutheran
Church in London. A gift. :of five
dollars was made to the Ladies:
Auxiliary •of the Girl Guides and
Brownies. Group two of the Lad-
ies Aad will be in charge of mak-
ing the coffee and lemonade for
the Congregational Picnic which.
is being held in Cedarbnook Park
,this Wednesday afternoon
Mrs, Annie Finkbeiner, presi-
dent of the Ladies Aid was in
charge of the meeting, which was
attended by 23 ladies and the'
pastor.

Bible School At
Mennonite Church
Well Attended
The Zurich Summer Bible Sch-
aal in progress at the Zurich
Mennonite Church July 7-18 re-
ports a good response.
The school offers the 12 year
curriculum of the Herald ',Summer
Bible School series. This is a
closely graded study for pupils
from two years ,pre-school to sec-
ond year high school, and gives
its students a 'systematic present-
ation of Biblical truth. It is the
purpose of the school to concent-
rate on: Bible study and keep hand
work and other activities at a
minimum. This Bible centred car-
aieukim has been enthusiastically
accepted by practically all 'deno-
minations.
The course includes a gradua-
tion diploma on the satisfactory
completion of Grade VII and rec-
ognizes grade IX end X work with
a designated seal.
The school is not strictly deno-
minational. and the staff consists
of lVf nnonite, Eivangelical Breth-
ern and Baptists.
