Village Council Lets Tenders r New
Sidewalks To Corriveau Construction
At the regular monthly meeting er accounts were taken care of
on Monday night, the Zualich vil-
lage trustees accepted the tender
of Corriveau Construction to 'build
new :sidewalks in the village at
a price of 75c a .lineal foot for faux
foot wide walks and 90c a lineal
feot for five foot wide walks. The
village is to supply mgravecem-
ent and fill, and is to have the
areas ready that .are :to have
new walks.
It was also decided to build
another additional 120 feet of new
sidewalk in front of the Evangeli-
cal Church. Council .felt since
there are new drains to be put
in front of the church, the side-
walk should be replaced :as well.
All the sidewalk work is to be
completed in August.
The council accepted the appli-
eation of Louis Thiel to have
town waiter installed in his prem-
ises. A number of delinquent wat-

Considerable discussion took
place in regards to the moving of
the township .office. It was fin-
ally decided that the village trus-
tees would .attend the next town-

The Zurich Lumberkings last night won the Supertest
Trophy for ending up in first place at the end of the
regular schedule in the Huron -Perth Baseball League.
They blanked the Dashwood Tigers 5-0 in Dashwood.

Theander Shines
"Red" Theander supplied the
power at the bat for the Zurich
nine as he smashed out three hits
in three times at bat, a double and
two singles. Arn Meyer hit two
doubles, and Don O'Brien two
singles. Single hits went to man-
ager Tom Rawlings and Ron Hel-
ler, and Bob White drove out a
double to score two runs, helping
his own cause.
The 'Kings scored their first two
runs in the third inning, when
