calves, $21 to $33; Durham calv-
es, $32 to $58. Fat cows sold at
$17.90 a cwt.
560 pigs and 175 head c cat-
tle and calves were sold.

Mrs. Arthur Haugh and Miss
Pearl Kraft returned home after
spending several weeks with the
former's son Glen, at Chicago, alto
visiting friends and relatives at
Naperville, Milwaukee and Det-
roit.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Goetz and
Patsy, Stratford, spent Sunday
with Mr. Reuben Goetz.
Miss Marilyn Desjardine spent
Sunday with Mass Ruth Restemay-
er.

On Sunday, June 29, Rev, Louis
Dorn, missionary to 'the Phillip-
ines wdl!1 be guest speaker alt the
missdon service of Zion Lutheran
Church. 'Rev: Dorn graduated from
Concordia Seandnary, of St. Louis
in 1953. He was married to Miss
Erma Ko'essel:, granddaughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Haller,
Dashwood. Before her marriage
Miss +Koessel taught in a Chris-

Windsor Man Visit Dashwood
A ,group of 15 laymen from
Peace Lutheran Church, Windsor;
visited do the homes, of members
of the Lutheran rChurch, Dash-
wood, to explain the operation of
their church extension fund.
This is a loan organization of
that church :denbminatian where-
by funds are made •available thr-
ough members loans, to build mis-
sion churches which are unable to
pay the cost of construction by
themselves. These loans are hen
paid back with interest by the mis-
sion church using them. Peace
Church in Windsor was built with
church extension fund 1'oans.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brown, Kit-
chener, spent Sunday with Mir.
William Wein.
Miss Anne Taylor, London, spent
the weekend with Mrs. Letta Tay-
lor.
Rudolph Oesch
A life long resident of Hay
Township, Rudolph Oesch, passed
away at his home on Tuesday in
his 85th year. He had been in
poor health ,for some time.
A former carpenter, Mr. Oeseh,
was very well known 'throughout
this district, having helped in the
comstruction of many homes and
barns. He was born on February
15, 18'74, in Hay Township,
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Elizabeth Oesch, is one
son, William, of Stanley Town-
ship, one daughter, Susan, •2Vlira.
Bert Faber, Stanley Township and
one sister, Mrs. Samuel Roth, Tavi-
stock. There are also eight gr-
andchildren.
The body is resting at the West-
lake funeral home, until noon
Thursday, then at the Zurich
Mennonite Church, from where
funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. The Rev. A. Martin and
Rev. E. Gingerich will conduct
the service.

evening. Games were also enjoyed.
