K. M. Breakey, Miss Olive O'Brien
and Mrs. A. M. Amacher sang

Hear". They were 'accompanied
by Mrs. Milton. Oesch. Mrs. Ed
Deters taid the story of "Jesus
Saviour, Pilot Me", while Mrs.
Earl Deichert and Mrs. Fred Hab-
erer, Jr., sang' the hymn, They
were accompanied by Mrs. Norm-
an Fleisdhauer. Acting out the
verses were Miss Ruth Fleisch-
auer, Mrs. Keith Thiel and Mrs.

ers read a group of poems.
1VLrs. O. Winter was the speaker
of the evening. She dhose as her
subject, "What is any attitude
toward Christian Missions in
1958?" Every Christian is on a
mission, We used to think that
missionary work was the exclus-
ive privelege ,of +iihe frill +bane
Christian worker. Now we know
that every Christian is on a nes-
elan. Everyone is called to wit-
ness in some way. In the early
church, the number of dishes
grew rapidly. God sti+11 uses ord-
inary people. Mrs. Olsen 'was a
fine Christian. Though an inval-
id, she let her llight shine for
Christ. Her secret was, "I Love
my Lord, and He has taught me
to love others."
Life is complicated for many
people. God answers prayers, but
not on easy terms. We must do
what God wants done. Being a
!Christian. today is both strenuous
and hard.
We must depend upon the re-
sources of God's grace. A. Christ-
ian has obligations at home as
well as overseas. A missionary
is one sent with a -message. Our
field is every person who does
not accept Christ as Saviour.
Where ,did the mission idea or-
iginate? In the heart of God. In
the Old Testament, God was re-
vealed through the law and the
prophets, but in the New Test-
ament, He was revealed through
his Son.
A ladies' quartette, composed
of Mrs. LeRoy O'Brien, Muss Olive
O'Brien, Mrs. K. M. Breakey and
Mfrs, A. M. Anacher sang, "I
Will Be True To Thee." They
were 'accompanied by Mrs. Desch.
Mrs. Delbert Geiger took charge
of the business session. Mrs. Men -
no Oesch led in prayer to open
this session. Mrs. Oscar Greb and
Mrs. Leonard Erb acted as ush-
ers to receive 'the offering. The
secretary, Mrs. Harold Rader cal-
led the roll. The service conclud-
ed with the singing of the hymn,
"Softly Now the Light of Day".
The committee in charge was:
Mrs. Ward Fritz, Mrs. Leonard
Erb, Mrs. Thomas Meyers, Mrs.
William Hay, Mrs. Elizie Hey,
and Mrs. Sylvanus Witmer. A del
icious luncheon was served by the
committee.
