Now on the eighth day of a guessing game between readers ftp Till' A e co /9 FOR DEPENDABLE HEAT All Winter Long Call LORNE E. HAY Locker Service—Rae Feeds Phone 10 (Collect) Hensall and Canada Packers, the report is that Canada Packers is using up all their present ice Bream packages as fast and: furiously as they can. Why? Well, as one grocer put it, it seemed to ham that Canada Packers was going to have an entirely new design . . . maybe new for both the cartons and the ice •cream :inside. He said he did'- nt have any :particular secret tips, but he reasoned that the teaser advertising that the firm has been doing has something to do with. new packages and perhaps with new flavours and other new things. However, the wall of secrecy is beginning to break and perhaps soon we'11 have the complete story on this secret of Canada Pack- ers, According to officials, complete .distribution of the new cartons will be complete this week. Every shore that sells York Ice Cream will receive them. FARME 1 ould you like to cut your Hay Drying Time down 50%, and at the same time have More and Better Hay? WELL, WE ARE ONE OF 50 AUTHORIZED DEALERS IN ONTARIO FOR THE VERMEER uKrusher.iKrimpervl Hay Conditioner AND PROUD TO COVER THIS AREA. Here, in brief, are our reasons for preferring to offer VERMEER to our farmer friends, above all other makes: 1) We can guarantee you freedom from rock damage. We will deliberately bury stones in the swath to prove this point to you. The rolls will open to seven inches. 2) The machine picks up automatically, without the need of costly and easily broken extra "pick up" mechanisms. Pick up fingers will often sweep dirt into the hay. Also, pressure on the rolls is adjustable to meet varying conditions and assure perfect hay conditioning. 3) Because of simplicity of design, almost total absence of wrapping is experienced. Should a bit of mud stick to a roll and start wrapping, the trouble can be eliminated automatically by stopping the forward motion and allowing the VERMEER to run for 15 seconds. Heavy crops can be handled efficiently because VER- MEER has 76" rolls, longest of any machine, and both rolls are driven. This dual drive also eliminates any chance of stripping leaves and permits high speed ground travel without bunching hay ahead of the rolls. The rolls are geared to cope with speeds up to 15 m.p.h. 4) The VERMEER is rugged. Large 1%" Shafts; sealed, self -align- ing Bearings; 35 h.p. Gearbox; genuine slip clutch overload protec- tion; self -tightening chain drive to both rolls; less useless excess weight than any other machine of this type. A deflector shield (standard equipment) causes the conditioned hay to fall head down, butt up, for faster drying. 5) With all of these quality features the VERMEER is offered to you at an attractive price — as much as $300 less than other leading makes. They collected cloth- ing, in great quantities. They sponsored or assisted in "Veget- able Matinees" in' movie theatres and gathered fruit and vegetables rural distniicts. They placed Scout .relief barrels in grocery stares with placards inviting cust- omers to "Buy 'Some for a Needy Family".
