Gideons Name A
Seaforth Man To
Head Their Group
W. John Thompson, Seaforth,
and Mrs. Thompsdn, were elected
presidents of the South Huron
Camp of Gideons and .the Ladies'
Auxiliary, respectively. Mr. Thom-
pson heads the camp of 11 mem-
bers, which represents the whole
of South Huron.
Meeting at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. T. Harry Hoffman, Dash. -
wood, the two groups expressed
satisfaction with the year's work
that was tabulated.
During the past year almost
1,200 Bibles and Testaments were
placed in schools, hospitals, hotels,
motels, jails, rest hones, doctors'
-offices, airforce bases, county
homes etc. Since the organization
of the camp a little more than
two years ago, over 4,000 have
been presented.
An increasing interest in the
program is being found, the report
continued, both locally and na-
tionally. An eveNincreasing de-
mand for more Bibles, due to in-

lion of Canada. The largest single
field, the report pointed out, is
the gift of Testaments ito 200,000,
pupils of the fifth grade across the
Dominion annually.

Celebrates 91st
Birthday May 22
Mrs, Sarah Elizabeth Glazier,
oldest resident Of Hensall,
rated her 91st birthday Thursday,
May 22, at the home of her daugh-
ter, Mrs. Robert Dayman, with
whom she resides, She was host-
ess for a few neighbour% and fr-
diendS, who! called to offer their
felicitations and enjoyed a sodial
hour with her.
Mrs. .Glazier enjoys splendid
health, enjoys going far short
walks to visit with her neighbours,
and dikes to crochet and sew.
She was the oldest voter to east
her ballot on March 31 and May
12, walking a distance, of some
four blocks to the polls to exer-
ciseher franchise. She. also, at-
tended the Henson. Wornen's In-
stitute May meeting on Wednes-
day, the 14th, and won the prize
for the oldest •grandtmother pres-
ent.
Born in the Clinton. area, she
resided there all her life until four
years ago when she came to live
with her daughter, Mrs. Robert
Dayman, Henson. She has a fam-
ily of four sons: Herb, Stratford;
Mf, William and Harold, Clinton;
two .daughters, Mrs. Elwin Pick-

Concrete Culvert Construction

tion of a 6'x 12' x 42' Culvert on Sideroad between
