James—Rapson
White pompoms and yellow
snapdragon, fern and candelabra
formed a lovely setting in 'Hensall
United Church on Saturday after-
noon for the wedding of Lois
Mary Rapson, London, to Donald
Owe.n James, also of London, The
Rev. C. D. Daniel conducted the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Orval Rapson, Hen-
sel', and her husband is the son
of Mr, and Mrs. George James,
London.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride wore a classic gown
of Chantilly lace over bridal sat-
in. The pointed bisque bodice
featured long tapered lilypoint
sleeves, and a scalloped portrait
neckline outlined with seed pearls
and topped by a deep yoke of
tulle. also finished with the same
delicate pearl edging. Panels of
softly gathered .alternating tiers
of tulle and lace created side full-
ness for the graceful lace skirt
which billowed out into a chapel
train. A crown of iridescent se-
quins and pearls held her circular,
elbow length veil of French illus-
ion sprinkled with sequinned flor-
al motifs, and she carried a hand
cascade of yellow sweetheart ros-
es, stephanotis and ivy.
Mrs. Murray Milton, Toronto,
was matron of honour in sapphire
blue and the bridesmaids, Miss
Carol James, London and Mrs.
Clare MoBride, Zurich, were in
buttercup yellow. Their cocktail
length dresses were fashioned of
nylon chiffon. The softly shirred
bodices featured draped cowl
neckifnnes which extended into, fly-
ing back panels. The full, gath-
ered skirts flared out over taffeta
into bouffant folds. Headdresses
were matching bandeaux, and
they carried cascades of white
Shasta daisies.
Groomsman was Gerald Mof-
fat, K'ippen and ushers were
Frank Andreoli, London and Clare
McBride, Zunich.
For the reception head in the
church parlours, the bride's mother
wore teal blue crepe dress with
lace trim and pink and navy
accessories. Her corsage was of
pink carnation. The groom's
mother wore grey and powder
blue printed silk jersey with white
and navy accessories and corsage
of white carnations.
The bride's travelling costume
was celery green silk shantung
sheath with snatching duster, nat-
ural straw hat with chiffon trim
and wheat accessories. Her cor-
sage was bronze cymbidium orch-
ids. Upon their return from a
motor trip, to Florida, 'the young
couple will live in London.

day with his wife and Otte dau-
ghter at South Huron Hospital,
Exeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baechler
and son ,Harry, spent Sunday with
their daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Scott and family, at Cro-
marty.
The Misses Rebecca and Esth-
er Steckle and Betty Gingerich
and William and Paul Steckle
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Aden Martin, and daughter Carol,
at GowanstoW.n.
Harold Finlay has returned
home from Strathroy Hospital
after their recent accident, and
is improving very nicely.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Meyers
and daughter, Willow Grove, cal-
led an the tatters mother, Mrs.
Mary Hey.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Manson,
Dundas, were weekend visitors
with the former's another, Mrs.
Mary Manson, and sister Mr. and
Mrs, Newell Geiger.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Rowe, Bol-
ton, were guests with the form-
er's brother, Mr. and Mrs. New-
ell Geiger, Goshen Line.
Mr. and Mrs. Heinz Benedict -
us, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kocher, and
tamiely, Sarnia, called on Mr. and
Mrs. Amos Gingerich and Betty
on Monday.
Tom Rowe, Sarnia, visited with
his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs.
Newell Geiger.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Manson,
Dundas, Mrs. Mary Manson. and
Mrs. Newell Geiger and John,
visited with Mrs. Jean Manson
and Mrs.• Hilton Laing, Exeeter,
on .Saturday.

Immaculate Conception Church,
in Stratford was the setting for
the wedding of Maureen Elizabeth
Campbell, and William David
Mero, both of London.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Campbell,
Stratford, and the groom's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. William Mero,
Zurich. The Rev. Father J. M.
Williams, London, officiated.
The bride chose a floor -length
gown of white crystal charm
styled with an empire waistline,
embossed rounded neckline and
bouffant skirt with chapel train.
Her fingertip veil was held by a
pillbox headdress and she carried
a bouquet of red roses and white
stephanotis.
Miss Eileen Campbell, London,
was maid of honor for her sister
and Miss Florence McKenna, Lon-
don, was bridesmaid. They were
gowned alike in ice blue crystal
charm.
Raymond Denomme, London,
and Wilfred Hoffman, Zurich,
were groomsmen and ushers were
Joseph Traher, London, and Al-
bert Hoffman, Zurich.
For travelling the bride chose a
blue tweed suit, with navy acces-
sories and white carnation corsage.
The couple will live in London.

St. Peter's Roman Catholic
Church, St. Joseph, was. the set-
ting for an impressive wedding
ceremony on Saturday, May 17,
When Catherine Patricia Denom-
me, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Remi Denomme, was united in
marriage to Stephen Alexander
Meld:Inger, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Meidinger. The Rev. Fath-
er Isadore Poisson officiated at
the double -ring ceremony and
Miss Yvonne Denomme .played the
wedding music.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er,,the bride chose a floor -length
gown of white French lace over
slipper satin with a fitted bodice
fashioned with bateau neckline
and ley point sleeves. The vol-
uminous skirt featured layers of
nylon tulle panels, front and back.
Her fingertip veil of allusion net
was held by a tiara encrusted
with sequins and rhinestones and
she carried a bouquet of red roses.
Miss Virgina Meidinger, sister
of the groom, attended the bride
as maid of honour, and Miss Mar-
ie Denomme, sister of the bride,
as bridesmaid. They wore ident-
ical gowns of blue net over taf-
feta with matching heartshaped
headdresses, and carried harmon-
izing nosegays of yellow and wh-
ite mums.
Lloyd Denomme brother of the
bride, and Eugene Ducharme at-
tended the groom, and Roman
Meidinger and Joseph Denomme
were ushers.
Following a dmnner at the Bren-
ner Hotel, Grand Bend, a buffet:
lunch was served at the home of -
the bride, and a reception wase
held in the Zurich Arena.
The bride's mother received..
guests wearing a liaise green dress
and pink rose corsage and the
groomm's mother chose a bronze
dress with corsage of pink roses.
For a wedding trip to the Unit-
ed States and other points the
bride .donned a navy sheath dress
with white accessories and a cor-
seage of yelllow roses.
On their return Mr. and Mrs.
Meidinger will reside in Zueiecla.
