Amber Rebekah Lodge held
their regular meeting on Wednes-
day night, with Mrs. 'William
Caldwell, Noble Grand, in the
chair. Invitations will be sent to
Marring Star Lodge, Brussels,
and Monkton Lodge to be guests
of the Henri group, at their next
meeting on May 2.1.
Mrs. Mary Sutter, Past Noble
Grand of Huran'a Lodge, Clinton,
has invited all past Noble Grands
of District 23 to be her guests at
her home on Wednesday, May 28.

stationed at Trier, Germany, re-
cently won an honorary diploma
for bowling at a German Club and
has the honor of being champion
bowler of the month. He is the
son ,of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Orr,
Hensall.
Mrs. Catherine Redden, who
has been a patient far several
weeks at South Huron Hospital.
Exeter, left the hospital on Sun-
day and is now at the home of
her daughter, Mrs, Ruth Carter,
Clinton.
Rev. Norman Knox, rector of
Trivi t•t Metnor:al Church, Exe-
ter, and St. Paul's Anglican. chur-
ch, Hensall, and: Mrs, Knox, were
honored at .a presentation held for

of both congregations presented

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kinsman

when their family and grandchild-
ren spent a social evening with
them. Joyce Ferguson and Bobby
Kinsman presented their grand-
rarents with a gift from the fam-
ily.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Tooth and lit-
t'e son have been visiting the,:r
aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Win
Henry, and other friends in the
vicinity. They are now on their
way back to their home in Win-
nipeg, Manitoba.
Poultry Club
Puts Stress On
Egg Production.
A new 4-H poultry club pro-
gram is being started in Huron
County this year.
In past years the emphasis has
been on the production of meat,
from dual purpose breeds, how-
ever this year th:e emphasis will
be on egg production with the
flocks being scored for produc-
tion, management, feed convers-
ion, cost -of -production and the
percent mortality. Club members
will be required to keep good re-
cords tin detail and must be active
in the club concerned, in order to
receive the highest possible score
for their project.
The minimum age for members
in this club will. be 14 years as of
May 1, of the club year and a
minimum flock size of 50 birds
has been established. Records will
be kent .for six months starting
no later than September 1 of the
club year at which, time the birds
must be 20 weeks of age.
I•t is planned to start one of
these curbs in the Seaforth area
this year with J. M. Scott and R.
Whitely as leaders. Anyone in-
terested in joining this club should
contact either of these men or
the Ontario Department of Agri-
culture office, Box 159, Clinton,
Ontario.
It is planned to hold the first
meeting of this club on Tuesday,
May 20, at 8.30 pm., in the Sea -
forth District High School, with
Earl Hunt of the OAC Poultry.
Extension Department as guest
speaker. It is' :hoped that a large
number of parents and prospect-
ive members will be in attend-
ance at this meeting.
