been promoted as the manager
of Highland Golf Club, London.
Mr. Skarn is very well known.

Recently he entertained
friends from 1VMonitreal, New
York, and Detroit, on he oc-
casion of his birthday.

of the Ontario Chamber of Com-
merce, scheduled at the Y.IVI.C.A.
building. Accommodation for an
estimated 350 delegates and wives
its being arranged at the Wolper
Hotel and numerous other con-
veniently located hotels and mot-
els.
Theme of this year's Trig get
together is "The Chamber Looks
to Ontario 1980".
Policy Sessions, aimed at for-
mulating statements and resol-
utions that accurately reflect the
thinking of biusiness and profes-
sional men on matters affecting
the ,public interest and welfare,
will consume most of the time on
the programme. In due course,
the results are presented to the
Provincial Cabinet.

Collect for Cancer

Henson ' Kinsmen were very
pleased with the success of their
house -filo -house canvass of the
village on Friday evening for the
Canadian. Cancer Society. Frank
Ellwood, chairman of the project,
stated that over $300 was realiz-
ed.
The Kinsmen would like to ex-
press. their :thanks to the citizens
whO gave so generously to such a
worthy cause.
The president of the Ontario
Chamber, R. A. Harris, Toronto,
willaddress the luncheon meet-
ing on Thursday, May 8. That
evening, the speaker at the An-
nual Dinner will. be R. W. Todg-
ham, Windsor, president of the
Chrysler Corporation of Canada
Limited, Luncheon speaker on
Fsiiday, May 9, is to be 1V1nrgan

Sears United, Toronto.
During the sessions, certificates
of merit, in recognition of five
years of continuous service on
the Board of Directors, will be
presented to president, IL A. Har-
ris, Robert M. Simpson, Arnprior,
and J. Hiles Temp1in, Hamilton.
