HURON COUNTY FARMING
REPORT
(By Douglas HI. Miles, agricul-
tural representative for Huron.)
The rains of last weekend and
during the week were welcomed
by the farmers as ground condit-
ions had been very dry, however
it has interrupted seeding oper-
ations and there has been very
little growth of the grain that has
been seeded. Some farmers in the
south end of the ,County have
completed their seeding operat-
ions.

Shower
A shower was held at the home
of Mrs. Glenn Koehler on Thurs-
day evening, April 10, for Marilyn
Erb, bride -elect of April 19.
Friends and neighbours of the
bride enjoyed an evening of con-
tests and a reading by Miss Joan
Koehler. The bride was then seat-
ed in a decorated chair and an
address was read by Mrs. Evelyn
Schrader. Marilyn was the re-
cipient of many useful and lovely
gifts. She thanked the people for
her gifts and invited them to a
trousseau tea that her mother is
having for her on Wednesday,
April 16. Lunch was served and
an enjoyable evening came to a
close.
